Can't front, the constant "something bad is going to happen" from y'all was making me hella nervous 😂😂. Luckily nothing awful happened, the opposite actually.
@@TheReactPackIt not just [brave/yuusha] by Yoasobi n [everytime, everywhere] by Millet, there are Evan Call from violet evergarden music team/composer bring 73 Background music for all 28 Epsiode of Frieren Anime Update second opening song [Sunny] by Yorushika 🎉🎉
That makes so much sense. Both shows have this beautiful "getting to know people and learning about feelings" type narrarive and the music is almost like a journey on its own
This first episode really hits wayyy harder if you already know what's going to come 😢 Btw, all their names are german words. Frieren: being cold or to freeze Himmel: sky or heaven Heiter: cheerful Eisen: iron Fern: far away
@@xcept1281 a better translation is probably distant, i think its a metaphor to her character but imo having watched frieren to the newest episode she doesnt seem that distant to me
"Something depressing is gonna happen." And y'all were spot on, something depressing did happen: Time. Series is gonna be a gud one, looking forward to the reactions!
This is quickly becoming one of my favorite anime of all time. The writing is FANTASTIC, and the pacing, characters and animation are also top notch. You guys will enjoy this one.
@@hugominicantv9441 I’ve watched over 100 anime since I started watching them religiously in 2013. All the oldies and goodies from Outlaw Star, Black Lagoon and Basilisk, to some of my favorite like Durarara, Baccano, Fate/Zero, Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom and Jormungand, to newer shit like 86, Oshi No Ko and this. And everything in between. My catalogue is huge. This anime is top top top tier compared to these and already in my top 10 maybe, and it isn’t even finished yet. I absolutely do not say that lightly.
@@zachdixon413 cap men cap, yuyu halusho is better than this anime, and thats saying the least, even inuyasha is better if you like romance and cute stuff like this….. i can name 20 animes better than some of those seasonal stuff from this days…..
@@hugominicantv9441Lmao get with the times old man. Those two were only good and popular back then because we have limited animes to choose from. If they were aired today they would just be forgotten like Fruit Basket, Shaman King and Urusai Yatsura. No one talked about them even when they were airing. The only ones that were able to stand against the test of time were HxH and Bleach. Frieren is already going toe to toe with FMA and it's not even completed yet
Funny how you guys mentioned Violet Evergarden earlier in the video because fun fact, the composer for the OST of Violet Evergarden, Evan Call, is also the composer for the OST for Frieren.
14:47 I think that is the point of this episode. Just like Frieren, we didn't know anything about them. For her, it was a short moment with them. But then, she felt sad, she cried. We and her would be on the journey of knowing life...
That's a reach💀. You'd be surprised to know that Vinland Saga exists and the upcoming arc that is being adapted to s3 is easily one of the best seinen manga arcs.
@@simplyrohith2163 I never watched nor read Viland Saga but I heard some people saying that the second season kinda ruins the show, is it true? if it is, why?
@@Bincone that people that said that r braindead shonen meat heads who were prob upset that there wasn't anywhere near as much action as the 1st season
not true, some people just watch anime for action and battles... Vinland saga is about tragedy of MC life and trying become better person than he was. -sorry for english, not my 1. language @@Bincone
@@Bincone 2nd season is the best season it even won anime of the year, people who say that dont care about story they just want battles and vinland saga is not about that season 3 gonna disappoint more people who want battles
I put off watching this anime from its debut thinking it was going to be too chill, cozy, boring...finally gave it a go a few days ago and boy was it I wrong. While it it is cozy and chill, the world and characters feel so alive, I binged 13 episodes in one night and only stopped cause I had to sleep....then the next day caught up to episode 16.
Yes. This story can make you cry for characters you just met. This is truly a special anime that came once a while among hundreds of seasonal forgettable ones.
Frieren is a work that escapes the normal since in each episode there are moments of reflection, personally it has become my favorite series along with "The Apothecary Diaries". Although the first season of Frieren will consist of 28 episodes, the manga that began publishing in 2020 still does not have an end and has 12 volumes of which the most recent was published on December 18, 2023.
The attention to detail in every aspect of this show is astounding, from the animation to the character dialog and everything in-between. Very quickly becoming one of my top ten anime of all time.

Wholesome, sad but also life affirming and awesome, Frieren hype! This is such a great show. Love it! This also features the same composer as Violet Evergarden, Evan Call. And the show has some similar emotional vibes to Violet too (for me)
There are a lot of German Words in this Series, i can give you the translation for them since its my first Language: Frieren = freezing Himmel = Sky/Heaven Eisen = Iron Heiter = can be translated as cheerful or cheery Fern = translateble as far away or remote Strahl (the holy City at the End) - Ray/Beam
A friend of mine is a fan of the manga and he told me that to better understand the age of an elves in this series is to think 100 years equates to 1 year as an elf.
I've never seen a show that captures the concept of mortality so well. The sadness of loved ones passing away and the joy of young ones coming up and learning about the world. This is really a special show
I started watching Frieren without knowing anything about it, but now it easily rose to my top animes. The story doesn't have that very grand fight scenes, and some might also say that it's boring. But what made me stick to it is, how, even after his death, Himmel stayed in Frieren's heart, and is always reminded of all the times they spent together. It is sad, it is love, it is nostalgic, and somehow, in some way, makes you relate to the story. As you go watch the next episodes, you'll soon realize the significance of Himmel in Frieren's life.
Have fun with the show~ it's really well written and the emotions of the characters are well portrayed. The humanity in this show is amazing. Also some suggestions, it would be good to get some drinks or snacks while you watch, also some blankets would be great. Frieren is one of those shows i stumbled upon and i don't usually read manga but the damn show made me read the entire chapters to end in one sitting lmao.
Frieren Journey is like... After you get one piece and then your new grand journey start over with new crew 💯.. Now watching again... Whole same as f 💯💯❤️❤️
You guys are in for a beautiful show. FYI check the names - almost all names in this show are in German so you can translate them to get hints at concepts.
I’ve actually watched all 16 episodes and got caught up about 1 hour ago 😅 I’m glad this coincidence happened! Y’all need this after JJK (I most certainly did)!
“We’re starting Frieren” Me: *perks up* “We don’t know anything about it at all” Me: *leans all the way forward* This is a fantastic show and I hope you remain unspoiled through its broadcast and your watch. It will surprise you in all the best ways.
it's true, the trauma from other anime does creep up every time we start a new show 😂 But this show 8s definitely a watch! You guys are going to enjoy this anime, a but slower than the usual but it brings a new perspective as to how lufe is for an Elf that lives a long life 😊
I've been thinking about it but himel might've aged so fast because of his fighting style which uses his body to it's most potential and exhaust his body fast... or maybe because heiter is a priest that's why he aged slower cause he has healing magic and such so he's much healthier
This was a very good introduction episode. I heard people talk glowing things about Frieren. Can't wait to watch more of this very interesting story with you lovelies.
