Hey Ladies, and Ashley especially. Your mouth didn't just drop to the floor with this episode it dropped to the basement floor. --------- You half kept getting more and more shocked with every passing scene. -------- From the death of Shea, to death of the hound, to the death of Jojen. --------- The reveal of the children of the forest, to the 3 eyed Raven, to the cold hearted look of Arya, "Dead men don't need silver". ----- I think you ladies got your fill. Great reaction.
When you really think about how ‘The Great Tywin Lannister’ died, the most powerful man in Westeros died powerless on the toilet Omg and the Rains of Castamere playing was *Chef’s kiss*
Bri and the Hound should have joined up to see Arya to safety - since, like you said, they want the same thing. Those 4 getting into trouble together would have been epic! 😂
In a normal fight The Hound could have taken Brienne I think. He was weakened by his infection. She had a Valyrian sword vs his. It's lighter and much stronger. I'd imagine he would have broken a normal sword with his broadsword. Either way she got the best of him. Such a good episode. The chess pieces are being moved on the game board.
The same thing could be said about ANY of the characters that have Valyrian swords MALE or FEMALE, so why point it out now? We know why and it’s just sad. The audacity to suggest a mere woman could defeat such a manly man, we must find a reason to show a woman could never have done that! 😢😢😢
@@Footlngchilidog Considering what has happened in reality, I find it increasingly important to point out facts instead of lying. It should never be about egos. Feeding egos with agenda & lies just isn't worth it. It is absolutely cruel that women athletes who work hard are getting brutally injured trying to compete with transgendered opponents. Look at what happened in the Olympics. Sometimes the injuries are permanent. ANOTHER EXAMPLE: Payton McNabb, a 17-year-old high school volleyball player, suffered severe brain damage and semi-paralysis after being struck in the face by a volleyball spiked by a transgender opponent.
@@dunringill1747 what does any of that rambling nonsense have to do with this discussion? Since you lost the plot, this is a woman fighting a man, not a former man fighting a woman! See the difference?
-- Maybe not quite "Sour Winter Adults" just yet. Perhaps "Bittersweet Autumn Teenagers"? Or would "Sweet & Sour Autumn Teenagers" be preferred? -- RIP Tywin. My favorite GoT villain. If only he had given Tyrion love, he wouldn't have died on "the throne". -- We do have to hang an asterisk on a Brienne victory yet again. The Hound was still fighting infection illness from the neck bite. Arya stated The Hound had still been moving slower in the previous episode (when they learned Aunt Lysa had died). Not to mention the advantages of having Valyrian steel.
After this episode ended, All I thought was of how much I'd miss Charles Dance as Tywin. I both despised and admired Tywin. Only Charles Dance could have pulled that part off the way he did. It was a very packed episode! Now is when things start to, start coming together a bit better!
Steph, as Bealish said to Robin.... People die at their dinner tables, people die in their beds. People even die squatting over their chamber pots.... 🫡 Lord Tywin!
I swear your reactions only keep getting better. I love how deeply Lindsay and Ashley pay attention to stuff and fill in the blanks for each other. Jons parentage reveal is going to be so good!
The Matrix is like... core film knowledge. The fact someone hasn't seen it is mind blowing to me. Highly recommend watching at least the first one (though I rate the others too, the original is just *chef's kiss*).
Ok, having a problem with Hound going for a crotch shot when not having a problem with Brienne going for the nut shot before that is a tad hypocritical isn't it? She started it. 😂
Remember back in Episode 8, Robbyn Arryn was telling Littlefinger how he was afraid of leaving his home after his mother died, Littlefinger did some foreshadowing trying to comfort him when he told him: "People die at their dinner tables. they die in their beds, they die squatting over their chamber pots. Everybody dies sooner or later, but don't worry about your death, worry about your life. Take charge of your life for as long as it lasts. That is what it means to be Lord of the Vale."
That fight between Brienne and the Hound is one of the best of the series, even though they'd have done better to actually listen to each other and team up! Where does Arya go from here? 😏🤔
31:33 I see you, Steph. I see you 😂😂 covering your mouth to not give anything away! And the smirk to the camera after😂 You're so good at not giving them any clue
Stef and Lindsay both referred to the scene of Arya leaving the Hound to die as "stone cold", I was just like "hell yeah 😎". Thanks for the shoutout lol. It's even more fitting because this might be my favorite scene of the show, it hit especially hard the first time I watched it because I loved both characters so much. The more the Hound tried to provoke and beg her to kill him, the more emotional I got. When she walked away I was like "Daaaamn, that was coldblooded, but I get it". Just like the 3 of you were giving different takes of that scene, I had many similar thoughts and emotions for both of characters in that moment. Great story writing, dialogue, acting, camera work, all of it amazing. I love a big set piece battle, but character moments like this hit so much harder than good battles.
@@andromidius According to the writers, they had too many storylines and characters in Season 5 and they decided it would be best if most of Bran's training took place off-screen (which ironically was George R.R. Martin's original intention in the books before he eventually scrapped the idea).
The ruination of Tyrion's character starts with the end of this episode. Leaving out the Tysha Jamie reveal was one of the dumbest things choices D and D made and that's saying a lot.
Nah, it's extraneous. Tyrion has more than enough motivation to kill his father. The real ruination comes from GRRM. Tyrion does nothing else in the books except travel and mope about where whores go.
I just finished watching the reaction. Ashley looks so different. A lot more animated than before (I love it). Tyrion didn't kill Shea for the betrayal. She was trying to kill him. Also, I don't think Shea was with Tywin for a long time. It was all after Tyrion kicked her out. Somehow she got together with Tywin and made new "arrangements".
It's annoying that the show never clarified that the Three Eyed Raven is Bryndyn Rivers, bastard son of King Aegon IV Targaryen. Fortunately we saw him in HotD and we should see him in A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.
@@rahilrameez8635 They need to do a little bit of a better job explaining it more, if it's even mentioned again. Rivers was born in 175 AC and I've seen a lot of people who thought that seeing him as the 3 eyed raven was happening in present time during HotD's timeline. Also, I'm pretty sure Bryndyn wasn't a child when he became the 3 eyed raven, either. It's been a while since I did my lore homework, but wasn't he in his late teens/early 20s? The 3 eyed raven we see in the HotD finale looks no older than 12 lol. So just a few nitpicks there.
@@MFBloosh Bloodraven was 77 years old when he disappeared beyond the Wall. He was widely rumoured to have sorcerous powers from a fairly young age, and all most certainly capable of the same sort of glamouring we see Melisandre display later in the series. Brynden Rivers wouldn't be born for another 45 years at the time of House of the Dragon.
@@MFBloosh well after watching the second season of House of the dragon, I don't have a lot of faith in that show too lol. It's heading down the same path as GOT.
nope, not sour winter adults more like wanting winter or whipped winter teens feeling like all your hopes and dreams keep getting smashed i mean, come on Sweet Summer Child Whipped Winter Teens or Phuked Fall Teens, leading into Whipped Winter Adults....especially after season 8......ROFL
I never liked Shae. She wasn’t nearly as smart as she thought she was. Varys and Tyrion warned her multiple times that she wasn’t safe in Kings Landing. Look what happen
Never seen another show build up two characters like Brienne and the Hound, make you LOVE them, then have them fight each other leaving the audience screaming NOOO the entire time. That's probably the most intense 1 on 1 in the whole show for me just based off of that. You don't want either one of them to lose, but someone has to win.
I actually like the Hound vs. Brienne fight. Sure, it's annoying 'cause it makes one go "Gosh! Just listen to each other!" (I felt that too) but also they fight because they don't trust each other. And I like that, it feels realistic. They're each guided by strong beliefs of their own. It always made sense to me that they didn't trust each other. (Although perhaps if Brienne could've talked with Arya a bit longer she may have deduced that Arya appeared to be far too relaxed around the Hound to simply be an unwilling hostage 😂) Also Ashley and Lindsay's Titanic gag made me laugh xD And Lindsay's Three-Eyed Raven reenactment had me wheezing, LOL That ending is just goosebumps with Arya sailing off and the different arrangement of the Main Title playing! I remember being so excited to see her go to Braavos :D //Spoiler/for Stefani only// Damn, I never considered the angle of Melisandre "seeing Jon for who he is" as she looked at him through the flames. But she probably did!! Great point from Lindsay!
Spoilers Arya later says that she didnt kill the hound because he was no longer on her list. She tells the faceless guys that twice. One by saying the opposite and getting hit with a stick for lying, and the second one she says it straight up.
Ladies. ROCKING this reaction. Lindsay, at 39:17 is the exact image of me when I read the books. SO MUCH going on and the joy of trying to tie it all together. I absolutely adore the depth of thinking that connects the theme of revenge with Varys' crate. Ashley, at 32:32, I knew exactly the weight of her heart in that moment. The expression 'it hurts my heart' is never more true - that moment is acted so intensely that it *hurts* to see. Stefani, 33:12 🤣it's how we're all feeling and what's even more brilliant is that as Ashley and Lindsay lean back in shock, YOU lean forward to engage more with the scene - glorious. Season 4 is one of the best seasons of television ever produced, and the three of you have done it justice with these reactions. Even with all the real world stressors happening, you gave the recording of episodes 100% attention and I very much appreciate it. Thank you for continuing in the face of hard times, I hope that recording continues to be a time to forget the struggle and live in the moment for you. x
Buenas Noches Amigas, Tywin Lannister stretched the rope a lot, he already had his son Jaime where he wanted and still he called Shae to the stand. Tyrion here is Fire and Blood and why don't we talk about his real wife Tysha... that would be 6 Tazas ♥❄&🔥´♬
Stephani you were leaning so far back to keep your spoiler face out of their sight line I thought you might flip over the back of the couch. And I laughed so hard when Ashley almost pushes Lindsey off the couch when Jojun is getting killed. So I don't know if you let them watch the episode recaps or not before the start of each episode, but i believe they now start becoming spoilery, by bringing up characters thought to be dead or that haven't been mentioned in a while so just a heads up on that.
Often times I feel like Ashley seems (for lack of a better term) disinterested, but this episode put that thought to rest. They were on the edge of their seats during the Brienne v Sandor fight. This episode had the best reactions yet. Keep them coming!
My friends I absolutely love watching you and I will continue but I gave you a thumbs down for one reason it's because of Ingrid and Jon Snow why you cut it so short it was such a beautiful moment in that film and I know you probably didn't mean to do it on purpose but when they said do you know why I know she loved you you just cut it you didn't let the scene run it was one of the most powerful scenes in my opinion with Jon Snow and Ingrid that needed more attention so for that I had to do it please don't hate me
Jamie and Tyrion part on very different terms in the book. Jamie confesses that Tyrion's wife wasn't a prostitute and Tyrion claims he killed Joffrey. This sets Tyrion down a very dark path. It's a shame the show chose to sanitize him.
@@havok6280 I also hate how they changed the whole shay scene and how in the books he’s not defending himself, he just straight up murders her and Tywin. Tyrion getting darker and more viscous is a huge part of his arc and they just totally ruined him in service of him being a fan favourite.
Tyrion already knew about Jamie and his first wife, and the set up, all the way back in season 1. No one really cared then, so why is it a problem now?
Yes, yes, yes! Do Hunger Games and save the newest one for all three of you! I think that sounds fun 😄 I'm not actually a fan of the series myself, but it's been ages and I'd love to see your reactions as I re-experience the movies with you three.
4:04 The Hunger Games is decent. The last two are the best but I guess you have to watch them all for it to make sense. The Matrix, just watch the first one because the rest is diminishing returns. John Wick is about Theon Greyjoy killing Ted "Theodore" Logan's puppy that his dead wife gave him, and him continuing to merc fools for 4 movies.
Daenerys “breaker of chains” … chaining up her dragons. A strong metaphor for her becoming a ruler, limiting and weakening herself for the sake of others.
Matrix is not bad but the best film of these great directors is Cloud Atlas, but for reactions it´s better Vikins, and to break your head the German series of Dark
@@Footlngchilidog It is absolutely brutal, a milestone, an anthem, but you have to think... and in the age of Tik Tok... it is a shame. because we are all healed, from the womb to the grave... and for every crime and for every kind act, we create our future..
It is pretty interesting the dynamic of Daenerys to her dragons compared to how they viewed dragons in the past. In House of the Dragon they view dragons as gods. Daenerys views her dragons as her children and herself as a god.
I agree with Lindsay's theory about the Wizard in the box. That scene was made up for the show. In the books, Varys tells Tyrion about the Wizard that cut him, but Varys never gets revenge.
You're always sweet summer children until you read the books and find out that Joffrey stabs himself on the iron throne. Legit the greatest scene ever. Spoiling that isn't bad because everything else that happens around that scene is what makes it incredible.
@@MugShotzReacts Only way for nomadic cultures in extreme cold climates to make alcohol basically :) I don’t think I would like the taste but imagine only hearing from beer and not growing up with it. Fermented grain soup? Mhmhmh xD
Watching the Hound and Brienne fight felt like being a child and watching your parents argue. I just remember covering my ears and saying "No, no, no! Please stop fighting!" 😂 Arya is so petty, robbing the Hound and leaving him to die. 😂 Tyrion killing Tywin had me torn as well because on one hand Tyrion is my second favorite main character, and on the other hand Tywin is my second favorite side character.
Arya was not petty... she did exactly what HE taught her to do. He made a clear point that "dead men don't need silver". She showed him she learned. He was proud of her. And yes... Tywin was a BOSS. He was the puppet master. If he and Lady Olena had bore children together, they would have ruled the world for 10 generations.
Spoilers: I mean, you can't *tell them* this right now, but they are currently Women of Autumn. After a certain episode (you know which one), *then* they will truly be Women of Winter.
