as a man I can only imagine that the last part of the episode has to be more upsetting to lesbians (I hope I'm not being disrespectful... if I am I will delete this post). Is probably one of the 2 more awful scenes that people reacting hate.
Just want it to be said that nothing that happens in this episode happened in the books. loras is not heir to High garden and is never arrested. Arya and the other girl at the House of Black and White are not enemies who whip each other. Jaqen Hagar is never even at the House of Black and White, and Sansa never goes back to Winterfell, never married Ramsey and is never treated that way by him. Jaime never goes to Dorne at all. neither does Bron. Tyrion and Jirah do get taken by slavers,but their ship is boarded at sea. There was a very large red priest in their ship, but he escapes the slavers and spends weeks in the waters. This episode is a good indicator of how different the show is from the books.
Wonderful again Ladies, I can see this was filmed aaaages ago (no dragon tattoos yet Stefani), no doubt Lindsay looks even more amazing than she does here. Lindsay, late it may be, but I'm very happy to see you recovering so strongly. Ashley, I kind of love that you OWNED the intro/recap before this one! All in all to see all three of you thriving does my heart good, which is just as well given the awful nature of this episode. Stay well.
Actually only about 2 months ago we are getting closer and closer to real time now! I do have the tattoo here, I might just have not turned my arm that way haha!
Fun Fact: Casting Directors had a difficult time choosing between Alfie & Kit for the character of Jon Snow! Eventually Kit was chosen to be Jon & Alfie was cast as Theon. I keep trying to imagine Alfie as Jon Snow, but just can't! 😊
I remember when this episode came out and some people were outraged as though watching Alfie Allen's cringing face is worse than seeing the actual act (as we did with Daenerys in S1).
I love Ser Brienne, but for me the books Grand Northern Conspiracy is a more satisfying storyline when it comes to rescuing fake Arya/Sansa. Having the Mountain Clans agree to follow Stannis not because they believe in him but because they loved Ned and felt honour bound to rescue ‘Ned’s little girl’ was just so satisfying!
almost everything in this episode is off book . dorne story in show is ridiculously bad, literally fan fiction quality bad. why they didn't attempt version of book dorne story , which in books is on same level as dany and jon stories when its comes to claimants to iron throne goes, is beyond understanding . ending of show is bad because other claimant a better person than dany, who dany presumably has to kill in book ending, is absent
You're right but it's over doesn't do any good to complain now. Everyone says the same thing in every episode of every reactor. Maybe the books will be finished and everyone can move on with their lives

murderous game for soulless murderers. not "died" but murdered. contrary some claims here , sansa's arc, only fully spanned arc in show, since it starts and ends at first and last episodes , (this episode being the lowest point), while others' arcs only span part of episodes, then meander, is rather same. only in the books it is tyrion who assaults sansa not ramsay , who assaults someone else, since sansa does not go back to winterfell at this time
this episode was the last straw for many women I knew back when it first aired. I still can't re-watch the final bit - but I'm glad I stuck with the show anyway.
It's also true to how Ramsay is. It's not like the Jamie and Cersei scene that kind of just came out of nowhere, at Joffrey's funeral. Sadly, what Ramsay did to Sansa and Theon is exactly what I'd expect Ramsay to do.

Theon, Alfie Allen, stood out to me amongst the excellent actors in this show. Of course his role is a very dramatic one, so that allows him to stand out.
In the books it isn’t Sansa who gets married to Ramsay. Completely inexplicable change imo. Comes off as simply for shock value, as if you think about it, it really doesn’t make much sense for Littlefinger to give her to the Boltons.
I agree that the plan makes little sense for Littlefinger. But the change can be explained. Rather than using a character we haven't seen since the first season, they used a character we know and care about. Also they eliminated Baelish's Vale plot for simplicity. Rather than having Sansa marry Harry and control the Vale through him, they had Littlefinger control Robin. I didn't particularly like the change. Sansa has already been through enough. But it can be explained.
@@havok6280 Yes but the explanation makes no sense in the story, it's just "we wanted something more dramatic for Sansa to do, plus it adds to Theon's story".
@ 3:10 reminds me of a plumbing company's logo on their van out here in Los Angeles. It reads "$hit's about to go down!" 🤣 I definitely had to get a snapshot of it.

Disagree. Littlefinger wants Sansa by his side. He wants power, but he also wants his substitute Cat. That's why marrying her to Ramsey makes little sense.
@@havok6280 The show really changed the whole character of Littlefinger. He's supposed to be a smooth talker who is helpful to everyone and gains everyone's trust. He's clearly not honorable like Ned Stark, but his public perception is that he is loyal and moral and trustworthy, but also is smart enough to realize you can't challenge the authority of the Lannisters directly (like Varys is, and like Ned wasn't). Only Tyrion distrusts him, but LF has done nothing to earn that distrust, he is always loyal and helpful to Tyrion and the Lannister family as far as they know. Only Sansa has gotten to know the real Petyr Baelish and how conniving he is - but also sees that his long term goal is to overthrow the Lannisters and help the Starks, so she trusts him. The show just decided "nah, he's an off-putting whispering villain and that's about it".
That ending scene always makes me cry. I've never been in that type of situation before, but I've had friends and family members who have been. I think it's my sympathy for r*pe victims that makes me cry every time.
With Arya, he’s trying to get her to let go of her identity. In terms of the lying, the purpose is to be able to play whatever role she needs to in any given moment. That’s what being “no one” is technically.
So Ramsey hunting down an innocent young woman with hounds and having her torn to pieces and eaten alive did not already make him worse than Joffrey in your eyes?
@@USCFlash she participated in the torture of Theon so she was far from “innocent (young) woman”. I saw karma catching up to her in the same way karma caught up to Theon. So no, not worse than Joffrey but equal to him at that point.

VIOLET, another blond, seduced Theon with Myranda. TANSY is the girl he killed in the woods. She did nothing wrong except be a BOlton servant who was required to sleep with Ramsay. Myranda became jealous, so Ramsay had her hunted down and eaten. Amazing you saw karma "catching up to her" when you could not figure out it wasn't even her. Maybe you need to visit an optometrist to help you with what you see "karma wise" VIOLET, the other girl who seduced Theon, was later murdered by Ramsay after she became pregnant, which he found "boring". So yes, worse than Joffrey. He kills poor women who he forces to sleep with him, then when he gets bored of them, he kills them. He has been far worse than Joffrey for far longer I guess you also forgot how, he violated the terms of the release of the Ironborn in exchange for Theon and flayed them living. Or how he slaughtered several of his own men, just to trick Theon when they were about to rape him. He was torturing, flaying and killing in his early teens. He was far worse than Joffrey and MUCH smarter. Maybe next time pay more attention.
I hate that scene. one thing that i do respect, though, that i missed until someone pointed it out, is that Theon is proven right - he tells sansa that he will be punished if she doesn’t take her hand. Ramsay forcing Theon to stay and watch is his punishment. Also, Sansa, having seen what Ramsay has done to Theon, recognizes just how viciously dangerous these people are. Their allowing her to see his brokenness is calculated to ensure her compliance.
If it wasnt for how contrived the Dornish plot is, this could be a great episode... and well, that scene there at the end remains horrible to watch. Not much else to contribute for now, but thanks for the weekly rendez-vous, it's always a nice and very appreciated fixture of my saturdays. :)
The Faith doesn't imprison Loras in the book. He is a member of the Kingsguard. Cersei gets her lovers to claim they slept with Margery and that gets her arrested. Loras also has an older brother who is heir to Highgarden. Loras should have said his scar was exposed when he changed his armor. Squires see knights naked... doesn't mean they are banging...
