I’ve been on a harry potter reaction binge lately for some unknown reason, and can I just say THANK you. You are the only one I’ve watched so far who mentions the transphobic elephant in the room at all, and it was a really nice way to start the video. I’ve been revisiting what this world and series mean to me as an lgbt person in light of all of the author’s…. “views,” and I can still find a lot of value and nostalgia in it, but it’s really heartening to hear someone actually talk about that front and center.

Here's my answers to your questions, along with some extra comments! NO SPOILERS! - Harry did have powers before getting a wand, and he did make the glass disappear. Wands are just tools that help wizards control their magic. So if a muggle was handed a wand, they wouldn’t be able to do anything with it. - Your house is definitely either Hufflepuff or Slytherin, 100% - In extremely simple terms, Gryffindor is the house of the brave. Hufflepuff is the house of loyalty/kindness, Ravenclaw is the house of intelligence, and Slytherin is the house of ambition. But again, that’s in simple terms. And a big thing to remember is not all Slytherins are bad! - Hogwarts definitely needs their safety codes checked out - Dumbledore was so foul to get the Slytherin’s hopes up, just to say like and announce that Gryffindor won LMAO The movies definitely get darker and darker, and very interesting. They definitely grow up with the audience.

RIP to Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid), Alan Rickman (Snape) and Richard Griffiths (Vernon Dursley) and Richard Harris (Dumbledore) who brought so many beautiful characters to life and who grew up with us as kids until we matured into adults with this franchise ❤️

to be fair the signs are there that it was Quirrell - the troll not actually being in the dungeon, i.e. leading the teachers down there so he could go try the trapdoor (but snape saw through that), it wasn’t snape that made the scar hurt it was the back of the turban bc quirrell was turned round talking to Snape. In the books it’s a little more clear as well they mentioned his time away etc - however 9 year old me was utterly stunned by the plot twist lol

My house was always Slytherin, even before I did the "official" sorting test - and yes, your friend is right, you're a hundred percent a Slytherin lmaooo your ambitious nature gives you away. They're also described as resourceful, cunning, and determined. The movies don't do a great job of portraying the Slytherin house but the books shed light that each house at Hogwarts has both its good and bad wizards. You could always do a quick "seeing what house I'm from" intro for the next movie reaction for fun!

The series really changed alongside the characters/actors. So the themes really change and grow with each film, and get darker. I love them so much and can't wait to see your reaction to each one! I'm glad you decided to react to them. We can really admire the stories and characters, especially given how long they've been out, without agreeing with the author of the books. Growing up with them, they're a big part of alot of people's lives/childhoods. So being able to to separate the creation of something from the creator (their beliefs etc) is really important and meaningful given how this is something that's meant so much to so many people for so long. I feel like one of the things this movie kind of misses from the books that really hammers home more of the tragedy of Lily and James Potters’ deaths is that they were like 20/21 when they died. In the movie their actors are in their 30s, so they look how old they would have been if they had lived. So in the books when Harry looks in the Mirror of Erised, he sees them at the age they died. It just makes it that bit extra heartbreaking that they died so young.

Brad .. u should check out the Fantastic Beast movie ... in one of the seasons which is (The Secret Of Dumbledore) ... u'd be surprised that they reveal professor dumbledore were in a relationship with a guy ... he even fought his family for the sake of his lover ... professor dumbledore never again fell in love with anyone after his male lover ... till the very last of his life in the hand of profesor snape ... their love story is very tragic yet iconic since they even becoming each others enemy between 2 most greatest wizard of all time that can't hurt each other because of the blood vow that they swore to never use their magic one another ... despite being the most powerful dark wizard his lover can never fought him ...even if it happen but u can see in both of their eyes that they were longing for each other. i really appreciate the fact that wizarding world decided to include this kind of relationship in the wizarding world and even more honoured when it is profesor Dumbledore himself were the one whom representing it ... 😊 p/s Fantastic Beast is the sequences of harry potter movie and it involving the same wizarding world in the different timeline. Now this one isn't about Harry .. it's about Newt Scammander a magizoologis (Magical Creature and Beast Expert) which is also one of Hogwarts students (Hufflepuff house) ...its the story of the generation before harry arrived in Hogwarts and back when all the profesor are still looking young ... ❤

Hey Brad, love the reaction and me and my friends have talked about JK rowling and separating the art from the artist. And while it's complicated, i feel as though it was never JK rowling that made these movies special. It was the actors, the people, the memories we made growing up, the beautiful music, the time my little brother took his first steps when i was watching the second movie, the times i laughed with friends on evening get togethers, the events we went to, the emotions it made us feel. I don't remember JK rowling ever being a part of that and that's what i think.
