JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is easily one of the best anime-manga franchises to ever be created. And the fanbase is super welcoming. We might come off as weird at first, but that's alright. The show is weird too, hell, it has "bizarre" in the name. If you do watch the show, we'll join you on the journey
Oh thank you. What made me look into it more, is seeing on Netflix that it had named parts for it's different seasons. I like to do videos on entire arcs, instead of episodes. So seeing the part names, got me curious. And then these openings were off the charts.
@@SoloRaiju Be warned. the first arc is kinda...bland. It's ok for what it was, but the author was still finding his footing. If you power through it, you'll enjoy it.
@@SoloRaiju keep in mind that part 1 on netflix is made up of 2 parts because they're the shortest ones. weird move but it is what it is. part 1 is episodes 1-9 "Phantom Blood". Part 2 is episodes 10-26 "Battle Tendency". then part 3 on netflix was split in 2 "Stardust Crusaders"(24 ep) and "Stardust Crusaders [with possibly spoilery subtitle, idk your policy]"(24 ep.). The rest all make sense
Part 1 (Sono Chi no Sadame): This is the story of a feud between two stepbrothers. Part 2 (Bloody Stream): Indiana Jones-esque adventure involving ancient beings. Part 3 (Stand Proud): Group of people with supernatural ghosts travel across the world to find and defeat a great evil. Part 4 (Crazy Noisy Bizarre Town): Daily life of a weird high-school student in a weird town. Part 5 (Fighting Gold): Gangster story, but with superpowers. Part 6 (Stone Ocean): Woman gets unjustly convicted as part of an evil plot. Can she survive in prison? Part 7: With the advent of the steam train, the horse's age is at an end in America. To celebrate it, a race about to start - from San Diego to New York... Part 8: An amnesiac man is found in a Japanese town. Who is he? Why does he have four gonads?
@@lordtoomas I've tried to write low-spoilers summaries based only on what can be clearly understood from the first OP of that Part, as well as the first few chapters of said Part.
JoJo as a manga is quite old, 35 years to be exact. The anime adaptation started 10 years ago. The manga currently has 8 parts with the 9th being worked on by the author but not released yet. Parts are kind of like seasons in the manga, each part has a different protagonist, all protagonists are related and all have been nicknamed JoJo at some point. The anime adaptation is at part 6 which is currently airing. Hope you either read the manga or watch the show, it's starts off a bit slow in the first 2 episodes but JoJo as a whole is so good that I highly recommend it. Great reaction btw ! Oh and one last thing : a lot of things will seem familiar but that's because a lot of other manga/games have been inspired by JoJo. Personas from the game series Persona are basically stands, there's loads of references to JoJo is a lot of things, like a character doing an iconic pose. JoJo is probably one of the most influencial manga of all time, kind of in the same way Dragon Ball was, it's just less well known in the west, at least until recently.
35 years? Oh wow that is older than I thought. Well DBZ and now One Piece are my only real reference points. So 10 year old anime will seem pretty new to me. I love seeing familiar things and going 'ohhh this is where it came from'. So if I'm doing that a lot, it'll be loads of fun. Thanks for the comment
@@SwiftJustice I didn't mind the pace of Phantom Blood but the main criticism from other people that I tend to see online is that "It's slow and boring" which is something ai don't agree with at all.
"Who is a JoJo?" - The blue-haired guy in "Sono Chi no Sadame" (JOnathan JOestar), the guy with the scarf in "Bloody Stream" (JOseph JOestar), the guy with the black jacket and hat in "Stand Proud" (JOtaro kuJO), the guy with the big pompadour in "Crazy Noisy Bizarre Town (JOsuke Higashikata, but the "suke" in Japanese can be read as "JO"), the blond guy with the weird hardo in "Fighting Gold" (GIOrno GIOvanna), and the girl behind bars at the end of "Stone Ocean" (JOlyne cuJOH). If we count the manga-only parts, there's also a paraplegic horse jockey (JOhnny JOestar) and a weird amnesiac man in a sailor uniform (JOsuke Higashikata, but it's written using different Japanese characters).
The CG model arent what the show looks like, but some openings like part 4/5 arent CG JoJos seasons are divided into pieces called parts, its for the most part pretty safe to say Part = Season (unless you’re using netflix standards which mashes part 1&2 together) Every Part is usually a new generation of JoJo, hence the changing character and cast every opening The name JoJo is a nickname derived of their first name pretty much having to start with Jo and their last name starting with Jo, so thats why all of the main characters every season are JoJo (or to put it simply, theyre one of a set of JoJo’s) Overall its a really neat show that usually starts off feeling like an oldy but will grow on you as it gets more modernized each part (enough to respect all parts) and youll come to love the absolutely bizzare things that go on in the creators mind when he was thinking of such unique characters and so on, hope that was a proper sum up!
dude that was fantastic sum up thank you. I hadn't seen the first name starts with Jo, last name with Jo reasoning. That's so great. And yes for the divided parts you mentioned. Thats what made me look into the show. If you look at my channel, I like doing One Piece in Arcs, not episodes. So when I saw had divided named parts, it made me curious. Thanks for this comment
@@SoloRaiju Yeah, at the time the idea of changing the protagonist was a big shock. Also, a fun thing about JoJo is that is extremely hard to spoil people about it. Because thebplot points sound so absurd, that people often don't believe you.
@@dariocarraresi1823 for instance, the first chapter of a part is about a girl finding a man with 4 balls that has no idea who he is, coming out of the ground... lol
@@SoloRaiju The only exception to the naming rule for JoJo to my knowledge is Part 4's protagonist which requires some knowledge of the Japanese language. Depending on how it's translated, his whole first name is literally JoJo
If nobody's said so yet, they will start to soon enough: Aside from reacting to the JoJo's endings, you should also definitely give _'1 second from every episode of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure'_ a watch (and then _'2 seconds from every episode of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure'_ ). By then, with any luck, you will be the mood to watch 24 minutes from every episode of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.
You may feel that you currently have no idea what's going on, but don't fret - after watching those two videos, you'll have even less of a clue than you do now.
@@SoloRaiju It's the opposite side of the coin to the Jojo openings; The opening songs are these high-energy, original compositions for the show, sung in Japanese. The endings, however, are more mellow in their tone and art styles (though still pretty varied) - and are all songs from western bands and musicians (in English) that had left a strong impression on Araki at the time he was working on the original Jojo's manga. It may or may not be your cup of tea (there's one way to find out, of course). I'm not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but Jojo's is quite heavily influenced by music. Many of the characters (and/or their abilities) are directly or indirectly named after western bands and musicians.
The fact that the ending songs _are_ from western bands and musicians (copyright) means you may need to be mindful with your editing if you decide to upload your reaction, though.
7:13 not just the sound mixer. The author/artist, the voice actors, the animators, the musicians, the editors, Jojo is the definition of crack and I absolutely love it
The fun thing about jojo, is despite being so weird, the plot still flows very well, and the weirdness leads to every single fight being interesting and making you wonder "How is the group getting out of this one?"
Let me know which opening you guys listen to the most? I've been listening to Crazy Noisy Bizarre town while editing other videos. The entire playlist just while doing stuff around the house tbh.
Every JoJo part in a Spoiler Free (so your safe) nutshell Part 1: JoJo fights his VAMPIRE stepbrother Part 2: Indiana Jones as an anime with Aztec gods Part 3: Around the world in 50 days, also stands are a thing now, what's a stand, those ghost things, why are they there, they are the embodiment of your fighting spirit. Part 4: slice of life murder mystery in a small town, also the serial killer has a.. "thing" for hands. Part 5: Italian Crossdresser Mafia.. *INSERT GANGSTER'S PARADISE HERE* Part 6: Florida Woman gets sent to jail, escapes, than goes back to jail willingly to beat up a gay priest *Manga only Parts* Part 7: a horse across America in 1890, also Jesus told me to kill the president. Part 8: man found in dirt has amnesia and 4 balls... Also *G I V E M E T H E P L A N T*
This is not a diss or commentary on either work, but Jojo can feel like anime Doctor Who, pretty hard to get into at first, the main character changes regularly and has a rotating cast of companions, and if you described most episodes to people they'd think you were crazy. That's why I love them both.
Yes! more people joining our cult! here are some tips if you're going to watch the show, 1. most episodes end in a "To Be Continued", if it doesn't, most likely there's a post-credits scene (not always though) 2. a lot of characters' names are a reference to western songs, bands, albums, etc. but in the english sub/dub they can be replaced with localized names 3. more of a recommendation than a tip: the japanese voice actors are absolute gods at their job, so i would recommend watching the sub over the dub also, opening 9 (Uragirimono no Requiem, or Traitor's Requiem) has 2 alternate versions, though they spoil a lot so i wouldn't recommend reacting to that
The self admitted ‘cult’ already tells me y’all are awesome. So many fandoms refuse and hate being called that, even as a joke. And Jojo’s fans out here like ‘join our cult’. So great. Thanks for the tips as well :)
To answer your questions about JJBA, this action horror anime/manga is divided into parts, with each part focusing on a particular member/generation of the Joestar family and their battles with villains like Dio, or the villains that rose to power and became even worse THANKS to Dio. Kinda like how the Zelda games feature different Links fighting the same Ganondorf/Ganon throughout that franchise. It's also ART the anime. Basically, the mangaka picked up alot of inspirations for his work, like foreign fashion, or naming people/abilities after anything to do with music that wasn't Japanese. There is a literal Robert Edward O. Speedwagon! And what with all the music references, it took FOR EVER to be a hit elsewhere, thanks to copyright and stuff. So the studios and bands that made the OST and opening songs respectively did a TON of bangers for the show, like some dedication to all things music. The most popular of the parts, Part 3 is TOTALLY unabridged and 1 to 1, which is why it's 50 episodes long despite the future parts being a lot longer in manga format but only being around 39 episodes. Each protagonist is nicknamed JoJo to reference the "Jo" suffixes found in their first and last names, like Johnathan Joestar, or Jotaro Kujo, or Josuke Higashikata(yes, there is a Jo suffix in there if you use Japanese Kanji), or even Giorno Giovanna. Also, the name Jojo was taken from the lyrics of a Beatles song. This IP also inspired other IPs, like Street Fighter. Or even Persona, which was inspired by the Stands(punchy ghosts thingies) that were conceived, but almost never made it, as the concept in itself was difficult to explain.
Wow this is great. Sounds like one of the most unique peices of media/art ever lol. I didn't know 'horror' was par of it. But I did say one of the oepnings was more horror like. So makes sense. The Mangaka sounds like a interesting dude
@@SoloRaiju It is really unique, maybe not for everyone (especially a beginner I would say) but really special. The horror part is not something crazy so don't worry about that.
Fun facts (no spoilers): there are references in the openings and there use to put clues about the villain of each "Part" since the 1rst opening (of the correspondient part)
So, the studio that made the 3D openings is called Kamikaze Douga, they are pretty good with their 3D techniques and made the Batman Ninja movie after the jojo op's
I hope you give this show a shot! I don’t know if you’re planning on doing reactions to this or watching in your spare time but either way it’ll be awesome. Be warned part 1 can be a bit hard to get through just cause of it being kind of slow but after that it gets better very quickly and is super enjoyable.
to help with the confusion, here is a vague idea of each part: 1: anime Bram Stoker's Dracula 2. supernatural WW2 3.egypt and time 4.silence of the lambs, but with powers 5. God mafia 6. again? really? God damnit.... 7. huh, is this new? 8. alternate of ?
I consider the openings to be one of Jojo's high points. There isn't a single one I dislike, even slightly. That said, I STRONGLY suggest you watch Jojo, or at the very least give it a chance. It is a blast from start to finish, one I cannot describe in words, truly.
I don't know if you reacted to it and cut it from the video, but you skipped traitor's requiem (part 5 opening 2) variations, and they're cool as hell since there is a full monologue in italian in one of them. I would suggest to react to them as well
The person who made the video left out those 2 openings so every person that's been watching jojo openings for the past like year has missed out on those 2 variations
Oh and btw, Overlord has some crazy good openings (imo) that are good to react to, if you're interested in doing more opening reactions (there are 4). Also judging by your hair length, I'd bet you'd enjoy them :D
I'm shocked that you've missed out 2 more versions of Uragirimono No Requiem because there's actually 3 versions of it: Diavolo Version and GER Version.
@@SoloRaiju Truthfully it’s probably for the best you missed those because while they’re good they would’ve been major major spoilers if you do decide to watch the show. That could be said for most openings though but it would have made the shock factor a bit less powerful.
Part 1: Jonathan Joestar attempts to save the world from his adopted brother, who became a vampire. Part 2: Jonathan Joestar's grandson Joseph Joestar fights to protect the Red Stone of Ajha from the vampire gods The Pillar Men. Part 5: Giorno Giovanni joins the mafia named Pashoni and fights against the evil crime lord of the group. Giorno plots on changing the mafia to a kinder and gentler criminal organization. Part 6: Jotaru Kujo's daughter, Joyline Cujo, gets sent to a Florida prison, secretly ruined by a strange catholic priest who knows Dio. Part 7: Not yet animated. An old west cross country horse race across the United States. Part 8: A man who lost his memories tries to figure out who his is. Not yet animated. Part 9: Not yet written, or animated. @@SoloRaiju True. This is not including his past manga, Baho, Cool Shock GT, or Gorgeous Irene. Which you don't have to read because it has no real links to Jojo's Bizarre Adventure (except as a guest fighters for Jojo's Bizarre Adventure All Star Battle and it's remake R).
@@SoloRaiju It sounds like you've only seen One Piece when you talk about the artstyle, either that or I missed stuff because I watched until End of the World

jojo is a story about a generational adventure of the joestar blood line and there are multiple jojos in the same blood line that goes by the nickname of “jojo” for example jonathan joestar, jorge joestar, Joseph joestar and johnny joestar and many more jojos and they all go on their each and own bizarre adventure
sad you didnt see the Uragirimono Requiem King Crimson Version and Gold Experience Requiem Version. plus you must also hear Sono Chi no Sadame 2 (Steel Ball Run OP by Disco Ballad)
I came from Brazil in 2022 to say that there's no complement because Golden wild has 2 more versions and only Stardust crusaders plus 1 with the sounds I just came to warn you flw
This show is one giant meme compilation, and you'll understand partially what I mean when you get to the end of the 2nd or 3rd episode and say oh this is what that's from.
Giant meme compilation? And my videos use memes. So maybe it'll be meme overload and get too meta haha. I can use it's own memes, right after the meme. Sounds great
@@SoloRaiju no, there was a character named ceasar in the second op that looked like dio in the first op, but are 2 different characters, just watch the anime for it to make more sense.
