First time watching *MENACE 2 SOCIETY" - 1993 - reaction/review (re edited) 

Guys I want to apologize for those who've already viewed this one. Warner brothers shut down my dispute and completely blocked the video so I had to fix some editing and get it posted again. They did the same with Blazing Saddles (both Warner bros). Lesson learned on my end as far as editing goes. All these hood classics gotta lead up to the ultimate hood classic parody movie "Don't be a menace to South Central while drinking your juice in the hood!!!"

Samuel L Jackson first gained “mainstream” popularity from Goodfellas, Do The Right Thing, Coming To America, Juice, Jungle Fever and Jurassic Park.. A year after that he was given the role of Jules in Pulp Fiction and the rest is history.

I watched this in theaters as a teenager. I remember the reality hit I got being from Los Angeles... I gotta say Menace to Society was more of a documentary stunning reality rather than just a Show Biz flick 👏👍🙃🎬

So I told you guys I didn’t know who Tyrin Turner was, turns out he’s actually the banana guy (big) from Belly 😂 my bad. My mind was blown.

WATCH "PAID IN FULL" ITS A HOOD CLASSIC

2pac was supposed to play the role of O Dogg but he got into an altercation with the directors.

O Dog always been my favorite character.

Before "Don't be a menace..." you might also want to see "Poetic Justice", "Higher Learning" & "Dead Presidents". Also, "House Party" and "Friday" are great 'hood comedies of the era that relate. "Do the Right Thing" is a classic that should be seen a.s.a.p and predates "Boyz..", "Menace.." & "Juice" by 2-4 years. They all came out 1-6 years before "Don't be a menace" but only the first three that I mentioned are really referenced in it. Watch 'em all, I dare you! ❤

Larenz Tate's character O-Dog is arrested as shown in the quck flashes when Cane talks about what his Grandpa said and now it's too late. Look careflly and you'll see the Cops putting O-Dog in the back of a Police Car.

I'll put the same comment I had on the original video that O-Dog was just dumb to keep showing off the tape and all it took was for Chauncey to get his feelings hurt and pistol-whipped to snitch and I'm sure police had an APB for the both of them because when Cain is narrating the final moments of his life you get a quick glimpse of O-Dog arrested for those store 187s.

I saw at the $1.50 movie theater twice when i was a kid. I hate that Caine died & i wanted him to make it out of the hood. The lesson of this movie is everything catches up with you in the end. Rewatching this as an adult i realized that Caine was doing too much & the movie did a great job of making him look like the protagonist. O-Dogg was a dumbass because he was showing off the robbery tape like it was a sports reel. I don’t think Illena was pregnant, she pretended to be in order to trap Caine. Fun Facts: The late 2Pac was supposed to play Sharif. He was upset because there was no back story on how Sharif coverted to Islam & he wanted to play O-Dogg instead & he assaulted the directors. A-Wax & Chauncey did voiceovers on GTA: San Andreas. Can we please get a review on the following movies: New Jack City South Central Fresh New Jersey Drive
