Fun fact: In spanish, a house is already a girl substantive, i.e. La Casa. so whenever the Uvula part comes on, in the latin dub, it goes like this: *Jenny:* That's the Uvula... *Chowder:* Wow... So it's _monstruating..._

“But if I let her go I’ll have no one…” that almost made me start tearing up. It’s crazy because I saw this movie as a kid and was scared so badly but now it’s one of my favorite animated movies, its also so weird your mind changes so much from a kid to a teenager. That line struck me so bad in the face, I never noticed that before. Awesome story and lesson about how much it’s hurts to let go, but you’ll truly have no one if you don’t let go.

Im glad more and more people are watching this movie as it's legitimately an underrated cult-classic in my opinion and a pretty horrifying premise that actually scared me as a kid, it actually had an interesting twist with the house possessed by the ghost of the old man's dead wife

back in the 2000s a lot of kids movies had adult jokes so parents can laugh at the movie too. best case in point is the spongebob movie but nowadays it feels like kids movie dont have adult jokes anymore

This is why Mr. video is the goat, this movie's iconic!!! I've had this on dvd for as long as I can remember, I watched it a lot and I remember always being freaked by the flashback scene where Constance dies, it was just so real and upsetting. That whole flashback sequence is very surreal I think. It's incredible how well this has held up almost twenty years after it was made, it has no business being this good. There are probably a hundred iconic moments in this movie and the direction is on point, so many cool and interesting shots. I'll keep returning to this movie forever

A few months ago, I started watching classic horror films. So far, my favorites are The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951), and Night of the Living Dead (1968). I highly reccomend watching those this October, they're both fantastic

The ball getting wedged on the backboard/hoop is a great metaphor for some of our lives. Just when we think we have a clear shot on something, it doesn't go according to plan, then it's more work to get that one little thing we wanted unstuck. In some cases, we also sometimes have to say to heck with it and go get a snack. =Þ
