@@ACONITOAKAFISH true but if it was like the oasis. lots of people would do other things just as shown in this movie. so many possibilities. most things arent possible in vrchat.
@@MacAndyI imagine the book like the audiobook for where’s Waldo. There’s tracer, doom guy, master chief, Batman, darth Vader, Gandalf. Would be the funniest thing
Nolan Sorrento is a perfect example for why a lot of the AAA game developers have been releasing one bad game after another. While Halladay is a good example as to why AA and indie developers have been doing so well in the gaming market.
This was originally a book from the 80s. The original is full of a ton of 80s references. The book also draws out his time after he moves out of the trailer. He is on the run for longer than it shows in the movie. His love for Sam also takes longer, which helps it make more sense.
I watched the movie first, so I had certain expectations for it, but the book was literally the wildest thing I’ve ever read. I don’t usually read books, but I went cover to cover twice on ready player one
"You got guns, you're in a game!" You missed a detail from earlier. When the Curator was walking Z to the office party recreation, he states, "Weapons are not permitted in the journals." That means that no one would be able to access their weaponry while in the building. And The Shining Challenge just so happens to be in that same building. So, yeah, Aech has weapons, but doesn't have access to them.
"Thanks for playing my game." Haliday making me TEAR UP BROOO... I watched this for the 1st time a while back, I've seen this movie now around 40 times. One of if not the best movies EVER.
The day a real-life version of this or SAO comes out, I'm there day one. TRUST. Also, Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix is my current favorite video game of all time
All movies shown were WB property, Ready Player One was made under WB, the games I imagine were some trouble to get though, but same time I don’t think it was a hellish process.
At the start of the movie when the guys about to jump out of a building, it’s a reference to the book the movie is based upon, in which one of the main characters is thrown out of his home and unalived by ioi
@@andrewhafey1909 Well Dune is doing 2 parts and it's going well for them. People don't mind as long as you can tell that it elevates the story to split it and take your time.
Fun fact, T. J Miller (the bartender dude in Deadpool) gave his voice to the big dude with a skull in his chest.. he always sound like the socially awkward friend😂
7:56 well you have to remember that this is in a computer so repairing it is just fixing code. 11:34 it’s interesting that this is the one character that you don’t see what he looks like in the real world. 13:57 it’s funny how the whole movie he’s trying to bring the Hi Five back like everyone has quit doing it. Reminds me of Justice league with flash. 18:30 it’s a Zemeckis cube as in Robert Zemeckis who did Back to the Future with Bob Gale that was about time travel.
"Zelda a link to the past" is one of my personal favorites of all time bc its what introduced me to the franchise but "Zelda: TOTK" my number 1 personal favorite currently
Currently crawling through majora's mask for the first time, im in love. But then again every time I play a new zelda game I think it's my new favorite.
I'm with you Don. The Witcher 3 was such a banger of a game. I just started replaying for the fourth time last week. Such a rich, well fleshed out world and lore, with your choices in game having a real impact on the world, but you may not find out the consequences of your decisions until much later. Very enjoyable combat that will make you feel like the absolute beast that Gerald is when you git gud.
16:00....Don....The cat lady very OBVIOUSLY put a bug ( discreet audio device) on The MC and the movie shows us her connecting "I-Rr0K" to the device, transmitting the audio to him 💀
sadly for it to all be ruined by roblox hacker R0cu winning the Ready player wings, such a shame roblox never banned him for cheating out every player in roblox for a once in a lifetime event
The book is really fantastic and entirely different, except general plot arc, Oasis, and the quest. Absolutely recommended reading and in truth, 20X better than the movie. Also: the spell Artemis recites to break the shield is Merlin's spell from Excalibur (1981), an absolutely solid cult classic and first use of O fortuna in a film I believe. You'd really like it.
Back in high school when left 4 dead came out 2009 I started playing with this girl and she gave me her my space, till this day I still think about her 😂 she carried me through those achievements on Xbox man, firm handshakes if you ever see this MySpace girl
In the book his relationship with his aunt is a bit different than in the movie, in the books she's actually encouraging of her boyfriends behaviors and only uses Wade to get food stamps from the government otherwise she would have never taken him in. She was willing to let him starve to death, but Wade was able to fix computers and do other things to get foodstamps/money to survive. So in the books that explains why he never really cared for her death, and probably a reason he doesn't in the movie either.
Free Guy, starring Ryan Reynolds, is a great movie, that has a similar feeling to this one. The premise is different, but a lot of it is based in and around a virtual world video game. I won't say anymore, 'cus spoilers... But I highly recommend you check out Free Guy. I'd love to see your reaction to that movie.
My all time fav games are, Skyrim, Terraria, Minecraft due to younger memories and personal reasons, and probably old ps1-ps2 game called Blaze and blade
Quickly commenting my favourite game now before the reaction starts. Kingdom Hearts 2 final mix is by far the game that has left the biggest impact on me. I have played through it hundreds of times by now and I could easily go back to play it hundreds of times more
a game that has touched my heart that i literally always come back to at LEAST once a year is Skyrim. just an amazing game that i’ve been playing since i was fucking 12
I can say that this movie is the most nostalgic to insane movie that brings all generations to watch and witness their childhood to adulthood in higher levels of entertainment 😄 Also it’s also cause me to go get the book to read on since it’s based on a book. Also fun fact, this movie carries 500+ Easter eggs that it’s hard to keep track on what is shown 😅
3 games i really love... Metal Gear Rising: Revengance I loved because of the music, gameplay and Memes Sekiro i loved because of it's challenging gameplay.
my fav game i’ve ever played is probably Transformers: War for Cybertron. Most of people woudln’t say this, but i grew up on this franchise and playing game about this which is sets on their homeworld with such a great story is so good expirience for me and i love to play the game over and over again for every year.(the second episode: Fall of Cybertron, is aslo good but not that much)
Try “Avatar (2009)”, it’s not a video game movie, but it is a Sci-fi movie. It’s hard to explain the movie, but basically; it has aliens, nature, romance, drama, action, and war. It’s a very good movie, the CGI is still good to this day, and the visuals are amazing 🤩
BRUHHHHHHHHHH Guitar Hero 3 Legends of ROCK! For the PS2 with Slash's Classic Red wired guitar!! Holy shit did I dump HOURS into that game when I was younger. Me and friends too! I remember me and a bro of mine played for almost 10 hours strait one day just KILLING songs on different difficulties.
The game I've spent the most time on is Middle Earth: Shadow of War. The Nemesis System makes the game unique from everything else and the story is pretty good :)
