Being a lifelong WVU fan, Tavon is ridiculously under-appreciated. Loved seeing this randomly pop up with y’all. Geno Smith is the QB if you didn’t know. #3 is Steadman Bailey who also went to NFL.

Since you watched that WVU team with tavon Austin you should see Geno Smith’s (the QB) highlights too. This was one, if not the best WVU team when they and other great players was a apart of that 2010-12 WVU squad.

@@jimbeam3783 Barry played in 1988 on a team that ranked 12th in the nation with little national coverage.. you can barely find a decent highlight tape of his college performances. Reggie was highly recruited & played for the best team in the nation at USC, over 14 years later so naturally there’s gunna be 10x the coverage & highlights. Hard to believe that if Barry played in the same era as Reggie, that him having over 900 more rushing yards & a flashier running style.. people wouldn’t deem him more spectacular. No knock to Reggie he has some iconic football games, but due to the time & lack of coverage.. I don’t think Barry gets his just due.

Percy Harvin was lightning in a bottle at Florida. The guy did it all. In his highschool days he was the only one to win 5 gold medals at a state meet for track in the state of VA. At one point he was the leading receiver in the NFL, but debilitating migraines sidelined him. I think y'all will definitely like him.

Barry sanders had the BEST college football season ever recorded 2628 rushing yards and 37 rushing tds in 11 games. That was his first year as a starter too. 🤷🏾‍♂️ #goated

Tavon Austin probably was a victim of his size in the NFL. Aside from returning kicks, I feel like his coaches didn't really find comfortable ways of getting him the ball. That being said, he made some money and had a few nice TDs..hats off to Austin. He was incredible to watch at WV

He was a victim of how gnarly the NFL is. Plenty of small men got it done in the NFL. Mo Drew, Sproles, Barry, etc. He was a nobody in the NFL, despite all the chances in the world. Was too much to handle for him. This highlight reel is nothing compared to DAT’s at Oregon. DAT hit 24mph, nobody has ever done that

hes a victim of Jeff Fisher. No creativity on offense wasted Tavons prime years. Solid backup RB and packages on offense at WR. he should have been a 1200 total yards 10 TDs every year

@@ThurgoodJenkins1 There's the most logical answer probably. Ole Fisher had a way of wasting top college talent. As stated above, plenty of small men did big things in the NFL. They just needed the right scheme...I'm a lifelong Vikes fan and I shake my head when I see Corderelle Patterson turn his career around in Atlanta as a well used utility player
