Art scalped the crazy lady and also cut off her boobs. He used those parts to impersonate Tara and fool Vicky.

Put it this way the writer and director Damien Leone has a plan for the Terrifier movies. From start to finish this is confirmed on the audio commentaries for the movies. Hes not just making another random killer like Michael Myers for example. In this movie it shows Art the clown go from a normal human sadistic psychopath killer. With nothing supernatural about him in any way shape or form whatsoever. That basically enjoys tutoring people both physically and mentally before killing them if he can. If they get in the way he just kills them. So thats Art from the moment hes first sees Tara and Down. Then at the end after he put the bullet through his head it officially killed him permanently 100 percent dead. With no plans on coming back to life that wird electrical stuff in the morgue was a supernatural force. Resurrecting Art back from the dead then an only then did Art become supernatural. By the way Art had no idea that was going to happen at all. He planned a one way trip dead an thats it. Because as Damien Leone said on the audio commentary for this movie. Every slasher killer goes supernatural at some point so he planned to do it at the end of the first movie. But he has a story planned around that from the start of the movie. Because the start of the movie is technically the start of Terrifier 2. Because the events of the movie took place a year before the start of this movie.

@@LateNightBRIE I am not one to say what movies someone should or should not watch. But if you liked this one Terrifier 2 continues Art the Clowns story. But just be aware take the brutality of this movie an double it for Terrifier 2. Because Damien Leone said as he was writing Terrifier 2016 he was already planning Terrifier 2. When he was writing Terrifier 2 he was already planning Terrifier 3 an maybe Terrifier 4. If he can't finish Art the Clowns story in Terrifier 3. So you see Damien Leone has it all planned out from start to finish already in his head. The beginning of the story the middle of the story an the end of the story. Each movie leads into one another the events of Terrifier 2016 lead into the events of Terrifier 2. Then those events lead into Terrifier 3 an maybe Terrifier 4. So it's your call if you want to continue down this path.

Art becomes assisted by demon but he isn't supernatural until he can do magical stuff completely by himself but it'd make franchise go to waste if he doesn't rely on someone else for staying alive

You asked on who played Art the Clown. To answer that question, you need to go back to when Art was first featured in a short named The 9th Circle, and the anthology film; All Hallows Eve. Back then, a man named Mike Giannelli portrayed Art the Clown back in 2008 to 2013. But the thing is that Mike Giannelli is not an actor. He basically got the part because he is a friend of the Director, Damien Leone. Leone claimed that when he cast the 9th Circle, his first directive was to find someone who would be fine with sitting in makeup for 3 hours a day. Giannelli helped Leone with his makeup test before, so he got the role. But Mike Giannelli was not an actor before portraying Art the Clown, and he has not acted since All Hallow's Eve in 2013. So when Terrifier was set to release in 2016, Damien Leone put out a casting call, and that was how he met David Howard Thornton. He is the Art the Clown of this film and Terrifier 2. Damien Leone claimed that the major difference between the 2 Art the Clown portrayers is that Mike Giannelli was a guy dressed as a clown, but David Howard Thornton actually is a clown.

Actually David Howord Thornton took over as Art the clown. In Damien Leones 2nd short film called Terrifier that he made in 2011. Then David Howard Thornton played Art the clown in the wrap around story in All Hallows Eve 2013 as well. So David Howard Thornton has been playing Art the clown since 2011 this comes from the audio commentary. For All Hallows Eve 2013 with Damien Leone himself so it's confirmed that David Howard Thornton has been playing Art the clown since 2011. Along with Damien Leone changed the look of Art the clown in the short film Terrifier from 2011. That's when he also actually got the name Art . So in the first short film Damien Leone made called The 9th Circle it was a nameless clown. It was just a friend in a clown suit an makeup. Then In the 2nd short film he made in 2011 called Terrifier David Howard Thornton took over. David Leone added some Prosthetics to change for clowns look an he officially gave him the name Art. All this is confirmed on the audio commentary for All Hallows Eve 2013. With Damien Leone an David Howard Thornton so I don't know where you got your information from. But it's wrong. My information comes directly from the audio commentary on the physical media version of All Hallows Eve 2013. With the writer and director Damien Leone an David Howard Thornton themselves.
