I’ve been obsessed with this actress since The Handmaids Tale, which her performance is just as great in that show

This is the last movie I saw before the pandemic hit and it was a great experience. There was a nice crowd and we were gagged at certain moments. It's so good.

27:55 Like Cecilia said the suit has cameras so he saw when his brother got killed and then played the victim. 29:25 Yes, she is! She has won two Emmy’s for her role on The Handmaid’s Tale and been nominated a lot of times, she also was on Mad Men and she was nominated too.

The Invisible Man is one of the greatest science fiction horror movies of all time. The story, performance's, music, astomphere, tension, direction, special effects, and cinematography was outstanding and incredible. Elizabeth Moss did a phenomenal and spectacular job portraying Cecilia Kass as she put tons of emotion and depth into her role. It also gives a insightful and articulate representation of domestic abuse and trauma. It was decent. To this day I still watch it and I consider it a classic. It never gets old.😍😎👍💯

Absolutely love this movie. Say what you will about the quality of most Blumhouse movies but they really let directors go all out, which is how we get phenomenal movies like this and Get Out. This is how you do a remake of a classic. Take the idea, modernize it (properly), any pay homepage to the original without straight up copying it

This was a very underrated movie. The scene in the restaurant was beyond belief! Great reaction. Another underrated horror/suspense movie that is of the same caliber is: “Devil” directed by M Night Shaloman. I hope you can react to it.

The Invisible Man was originally going to be part of Universal Pictures’s Dark Universe (Its classic monsters including Dracula, Wolfman, Frankenstein, The Mummy, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and The Invisible Man), officially starting with Tom Cruise’s The Mummy. However, due to the poor reception of that film, they retooled this film, and instead of starring Johnny Depp in the main lead, Elizabeth Moss’s character took center stage. Leigh Whannell came on to helm after Upgrade. Since you mentioned Malignant, directed by James Wan, the two are friends and broke out together with the movie Saw as writers (Whannell and Wan), directing (Wan), and acting (Whannell). Many of their works shared a familial trait even with varied genres since their early careers.

A lot of this movie could have been avoided if the sister just remembered how he punched her cars window in the beginning.

Typically if someone is pregnant and goes to prison, they will probably get less than healthcare, and the baby gets taken away as soon as possible. probably sent to foster care if there aren't any immediate family to take care of said baby.

This movie is so good because it focuses on a very female-oriented fear (though anyone can go through this). It is literally my greatest fear that I'll be victimized by a man and nobody will believe me. The potential violence and terror I could experience is definitely very scary but it's the thought of being so completely alone, abandoned, dismissed, shamed, and even blamed afterward that fills me with an immense sense of dread.

Great reaction on one of the best horror movie remakes. This movie was a good remake because it took the core concept of the 1933 movie and did something wildly different, unlike The Lion King Remake which was just a shot for shot remake.

20:47 My mom gave birth to me when she was incarcerated. Basically, they have a unit in jail (not sure about mental health institutions) for expectant mothers separated from the other women. Depending on the charges, normally if they get out before they give birth, they can be subject to having CPS involved or keep the baby. My mother didn’t get out until I was about 3 months old so basically I had to be given up for adoption (even if she did get out earlier she was found with drugs so CPS would have gotten involved). When her water broke she was transported to a civilian hospital. She was there for a day when I was born, (normally that’s the average timelength incarcerated women are there, at least in Texas, I may be wrong) but she developed a fever so I think she got to spend 2-3 days total in the hospital. After that, she got transported back to jail. I don’t know how it works in mental institutions though.

I love this movie. But watching trailer before the actual movie ruins it all.. I watched it without watching a trailer and I legit thought it's a paranormal ghost movie before they showed up the suit. 8:35 BTW fun fact - this guy is main antagonist in movie Upgrade which is another movie from Leigh Whannell.

Great movie but it weirds me out when I know the lead actor is a Scientologist, don’t ask me why but I can’t look at her the same way in this movie. Same with Tom Cruise and the voice of Bart Simpson. Just ruins the movie - cults freak me out.

The woman is transported in a van to a hospital to give birth (up until 5 years ago, women were shackled while giving birth; this is supposed to be outlaws in most states), once the baby is born they are taken. If the court allows, the baby can be left with someone the mother assigned and must be formally fostered, if not, the baby is raised by the state.

I recently saw this movie and let me just say this movie has the BEST ending, especially for WOMEN who go through situations like this minus the science fiction! The main idea I think people need to take away from this movie is the fact that Adrian was indeed abusive which is why she fled away from him in hopes of gaining her freedom again and working on her mental health. However, they made sure to add elements of how a woman may seem like she is going crazy when dealing with trying to pick herself back up again after an unfortunate situation that will scar a person for life. Abuse = life trauma! Also, I like how the movie depicted when Adrian came back in the picture to attack her and Cee decided to finally put up a fight they made it look like Cee was paranoid, distraught, and delirious. Yes, we understand through context it is because she did not see him but another reason I speculated is that when women face abuse from men and start retaliating or responding sometimes women are seen as "overly emotional" or "doing too much" despite people KNOWING what they have experienced then it comes off as the WOMAN starts to become the problem. So, I like how Cee put up a fight and got her justice in the end...a reality many women do not get and if they do get justice by unaliving their aggressors or abusers they also have to pay the price for it which is really not fair in my opinion. What ever happened to people being true victims? Especially when it comes to abusers. The ending was SOOOO satisfying and I love how Cee did not let up on NEVER underestimating the type of "man" Adrian was becasue she knew him well enough to be a mastermind behind EVERYTHING! This confirms to us that Adrian really was that horrible to her, too smart for his own good, and seemed to always think steps ahead but Cee made sure she had the FINAL laugh after she had enough of his games. I think that is why so many people loved the movie even more because what else is better than a woman getting justice from an abusive man and NOT having to pay the price for it...amazing movie! ....oh and something I found interesting ..when you look at the scene when she went upstairs to the attic.. the background of Adrian's phone wallpaper is the SAME pattern found on the invisible suit which can also confirm that at one point of time it obviously WAS HIM in the suit before his brother did the rest of the dirty work.
@selenecelestial5498
@selenecelestial5498 Год назад
Oh good, this is the one I voted for lol. Yeah I'm thinking maybe the suit did make the wearer a bit stronger, not just because of the way he was able to throw her around, but also because at the end she seemingly had no trouble using his own arm against him to slit his throat. But one could argue that he was just completely caught off guard and more relaxed. The again, he did smash through a car window with his fist so he seemed pretty strong and determined to begin with. His brother though? *shrugs* I did have a few questions like that here and there while watching the film, but overall it was such a nail-biting experience that it didn't detract from the movie as a whole.
