I cried three times watching this! It was so gorgeous! What a beautiful movie! The music, the characters, the acting, the animation! Everything was perfect! I loved it so much! 10-10!
I went to the theater to see this and I had the same reaction. I had just heard that it was a cute animated movie, and I was totally not prepared. Cut to a grown man just sobbing his eyes out (of course, all the families around me were too!) If it's still playing in a theatre near you and you can handle the emotional damage again, this gorgeous animation is worth seeing on the big screen!
Fun fact abt the style of this movie Every single shot is hand painted. And then they added digitel depth like a few trees and shrubs and moss and the animated characters. If u look at the migration scene when longneck is talking on the rock to all the geese the background is flat and static because its a painting
As a fan of Peter Brown's trilogy, who just recently watched The Wild Robot, this channel is one of the reactors on YT i was hoping to see witty reaction and insightful commentaries on ... Derek is just like one of the forest animals burrowed in a hole you just want to protect during Winter, lol... a true hidden gem... diamond in the rough so to speak.
The squirrel that got smacked by the pine cone in the end credits, as well as the first land animal Roz encountered, had a much bigger role in the books compared to the fox. The squirrel even had a name, Chitchat, and was Brightbill's best friend who loved to chat, as his name suggested. The adaptation gave homage to Chitchat with beginning and end cameos. Personally , i thought book 2 was even better than book 1 (as were the reviews on Goodreads)... so a worthy film sequel would be highly promising. Read on below if you wish to know the general spoiler-free synopsis of a possible sequel: Roz was refurbished by the company, but her core memories are intact, which she kept as secret so the company wouldn't study her or wipe her memory. Roz was resold to a family of three on a struggling small farm. Roz befriends all the livestock animals on this farm, as well as humans, the children of the farm owner who purchased Roz. Being who Roz is, his relationship with the children blossoms... but his MO was still to escape and return to his real home, the wild forest. Her escape adventure was quite exciting to listen to on audiobook.
My theory for Ross not taking the parts is because she’s a newer model so it’s probably a compatibility issue like when you get a new phone the old phones screen wouldn’t work if you broke the new one ❤😂
My best guess was that none of those robots really had any working parts left. They were all piles of rusted scrap metal and it was almost a miracle Roz even got that one of them online for a little bit.
Or she also just didn't wanna use pieces of other robots out of the morality of her heart. She's programmed not to harm others, and she didn't agree with Fink about taking parts from them either. She viewed them as her own kind, she probably didn't want to disrespect them or steal from them.
45:17 I just caught this small detail after watching the movie for the third time last night. BrightBill asks Roz what the other robot was saying since the animals don't understand English. The same thing happens when the destroyer robots ask Roz to go home.
it’s already confirmed that there will be a second film! it’s been confirmed that it’s in production, so should come out in the next year or two. it’s based off of a trilogy of books, so this will be based off of the second novel!
