First Time Watching *TRICK ‘R TREAT (2007)* Movie REACTION!!! 

The conversations of the girls is fun on rewatch when you know they're werewolves.

The guy who directed this movie also directed Krampus. I love this movie because on how they give us different stories and how there all connected in one small town.

The little “kid” is Sam, short for Samhain. He enforces all the rules of Halloween: do blow out the pumpkin, check your candy, hand out candy, and wear a costume. If you look close he always in the area of every story in the movie.

The kid who plays Sam (Quinn Lord) is the "peeping tom" kid that's spying on the werewolves as they try on costumes.

The kid is like a mini Pumpkinhead (another great Halloween movie). He wrote on the old dudes walls the old rhyme: "Trick r Treat, Trick r Treat, Give me something good to eat." ...which is a reference to the old custom of leaving offerings/treats for the spirits on Halloween night or they will play mischievous tricks on you. Today those offerings have been relegated to simple candy. When the kid finally got his treat, he immediately stopped his sinister tricks and left.

The structure is non-linear storytelling. Works best when you want to get a viewer more interested because it makes tying the story together more of a puzzle than jsut out and out making you realize something with a clear beginning middle and end.

The quintessential Halloween movie. Love it! I've watched it every October since it came out.

This movie has become one of my Halloween traditions. It's fun watching it again and noticing small details that you missed the first time.

For me, it is the best horror anthology period.

Before 'Pulp Fiction' there was 'Reservoir Dogs' that mixed the scenes around. BTW, the kid at the beginning who was stealing the candy was the one in 'Bad Santa'.

I love this movie. You should do a reaction to Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark and The Autopsy of Jane Doe. Fun fact: the old man in Trick 'r Treat actor plays the dad in Autopsy of Jane Doe.

This one is great, but my favorite horror themed anthology movie is "Creepshow". Brilliant piece of horror film history done by the greats. Written by Stephen King, directed by George A. Romero with Tom Savini doing many of the special effects and a very very strong cast comprised of horror movie icons back in the 70's and 80's. Please check it out next October!

This is a Halloween staple for me. I watch it every single Halloween.

Happy belated Halloween dude! I hope you had fun on the spookiest day ever, scary from both October and COVID. I was was doing an original Spider-Man trilogy marathon tonight and I realized the principal was the professor as well.

The hole story point is it's about all the rules and tradition an mythology and lore. That make up Halloween in this movie Halloween itself is the star of the movie. It it's not just a season or a setting or a background. In this movie every single thing revolves around something related to Halloween. That is why you see the pumpkin kid everywhere. His name is Sam it's short for Samhain as in the Festival of Samhain. That eventually became All Hallows Eve then it became Halloween. Sam is literally the embodiment or spirit of all the rules and traditions of Halloween or All Hallows or the festival of Samhain. He also enforces the rules and traditions of that holiday. I have the Shout Factory collectors edition of this movie. The 3rd story the One with the werewolfs is a interesting one. Its point is to show you one monster that being the principal from the first story. Who goes around killing people on Halloween so you think he's worst monster out that night. But the 3rd story shows when you think you seen the worst. Monster that exist in the dark. That being a serial killer that there's always something worse waiting in the dark. In this case the serial killer ends up getting killed by a real-life werewolf. So apparently a serial killer is not the worst thing out there. Because there really is werewolves and who knows what else. Is out there waiting in the dark. This Anthology movie tells the story differently than most others. All the stories are connected so it goes first story Second Story 3rd Story then 4th story. Because this way explains things in all the stories in order. First story the kids from the second-story are getting the pumpkins. Sam also gets the candy bar with the razor blade in it from the principal's house. Wich Sam uses in the 4th story 2nd story the kids from the first story. Basically awaken or free the zombie kids let's later on kill old man who was the bus driver. From the story tolled in the 2nd story you also see the principal pretending to be a vampire killing someone. After he killed some one in the 1st story. 3rd story you see the serial killer principal get killed by a real life monster that being a werewolf. 4th story they all finaly combine Sam uses the candy bar with razor blade in it. He got in the first story then in the end the zombie kids from the second-story. Kill the old man because he was the bus driver who was going to kill them an kinda did. The beginning of the movie is technically the end of the movie. Because if you are watching behind the kid with the white mask. You can see the zombie kids leaving the old man's house after they did whatever to him. This is not the normal formula for an Anthology movie. It was literally inspired by Pulp Fiction. Most normal Anthology movies have a host or something. That serves as a middle person or thing. To introduce the stories. The storys are not connected in any way or form. That's where this movie is different as you seen and I explained. It is literally four stories that happened on Halloween night. That are all connected in one way or another like a chain. Events in the first story cuz something happened in the Second Story an events. In the Second Story cause something to happen in the 3rd. Story then it all combines in the 4th story Like Domino's if you will. So the beginning is the end the end is the beginning.

I know right I hate when people get sick it freaks me put and sounds so damn grotesque...same id rather see gore than that shit lol 😆. Good movie I just hate parts like that in movies. This is a great movie. For other great horror anthologies Creep Show and Tales From The Darkside are amazing as well. If you want one that isn't horror themed, try Burning Plams, it's an anthology that's black comedy. Has some amazing casting as well.

Suggestion for a movie similar to the “separate stories” idea: Trilogy of Terror starring Karen Black, from 1975. Also the Creepshow films.
