This film doesn't turn 10 until next year since its release at the Fantasia Film Festival. Its U.S. wide theatrical release anniversary will be in 2025.
When I watched that movie I didn't give a damn about that friend group either lmao. Everyone of them is unlikable. Laura exposing them and putting them against each other was the best part 😂

Mind u she went after her bff's boyfriend n was said to be a Mean girl herself, so she was likely part of the problem with the ongoing toxicity of their friend group (probably why Blair did what she did if she found out about Laura coming on to Mitch, which was why she wasn't surprised when it was brought up during 'Never Have I Ever'). However, does that condone what Blair n her friends did to her? Of course not. That was too far n really messed up. Not to mention that it was hinted that Laura was going through some shit via her pedo uncle, n Blair knew this but she still did what she did. It's one thing having a fallout but to be the cause of someone's suicide n ongoing disrespect after? Yeah, Laura didn't deserve it. No one should deserve that if u were supposed to be their 'friend'.

There's three messages that I got from this movie: 1. Cyberbullying is bad and the people that partake in it deserve consequences 2. Don't call everybody your friend, cuz some of your "friends" aren't your real friends 3. Laura Barns served a full platter of karma and fed it to these ppl

This is one movie where I was definitely rooting for the villain. But I think Blaire should have been left alive at the end. Every bit of it is her fault. She posted the video, her selfish lies got her friends killed. She should have been left to live with the guilt and shame of what she did. Great video as always, David. ❤
And from what I see Laura makes it seem like Blaire posted that video on her own Facebook for everyone to see and know what she did. Based on those angry comments, if she lived, she would have been treated even worse than Laura.

One of the obvious takeaways is don't be an a**hole to people who are struggling, because when it was revealed that they are the reason that forced Laura to do that, I didn't feel bad for them getting killed off.
Another way to look at it, is that since the movie stated that Laura was the "first bully", causing the others to retaliate, perpetuating the cycle will do you no favors.

As a horror film, it fails... but this has more the spirit of a slasher film than anything; pitch black dark comedy where there are times... you can't help but cheer for the villain. Only difference is we have no final girl.
This is one of those movies where all the characters were so deplorable that you did not care when they died. It's a real reflection of bad teen behavior and shows bullies will get what's coming to them. Your reaction was hilarious and on point!!
It’s crazy to think that this movie came out almost 10 years ago! Man this movie was messy as hell! And I loved every second of it! I also loved the whole “camera is the laptop” thing and I loved it more with searching and missing. Thanks for this amazing reaction

I laughed myself sick the first time I watched this movie. It's hilarious. Poor Ken though, he was the only one who didn't directly do anything to Laura. Adam gave Laura the drugs that caused her to pass out and defecate on herself. Blaire made the video. Mitch uploaded the video. Val told her to do something terrible to herself when Laura, thinking Val uploaded the video, begged her to take it down. & Jess defaced Laura's grave. Ken talked some trash during the call, but he wasn't shown to have actually done anything to Laura prior to her passing. I get that she killed him due to his computer skills being too good, but he shouldn't have been in on the call in the first place.
Which meant that Ken helped his friend get drugs, not that he actively assisted Adam to cause something like that. That’s insane to me. Now, maybe he was one of the fake online profiles, but we’re never explicitly told that, so I think that’s fucked.
This movie was all the rage and quite a trend setter. You should probably watch Searching or Missing. They are more mysterious thrillers than horror (although Missing steps a little in horror territory, I'd say). The fact that Miss Main has the nerve to throw everyone under the bus and at the end STILL doesn't confess to what she did... There is literally an all-knowing ghost looking through her browser history! Girl, come on.
Fun Fact: Near the beginning of the movie _Searching,_ a news site with a record of the highest trending keywords in its corner lists "Laura Barns" as one of the search terms. ...That reaction to "GUYS WE ARE NOT GHETTO" was *_SO_* genuine lmao! I've made that same noise before. I usually end up going full _Wheeze: The Rusical_ as the laughing fit continues, tho. 😅
This messy ass friend group had me screaming in the theater I went to see it for my 17th birthday because it’s close to Halloween I got horror I got drama I was so damn happy 😭😭

If you like movies shown through screens like this one, “Searching” is a really good one! It’s about a dad looking for his missing daughter, there’s quite a few great twists!
I saw this movie in a packed theater back when I was in high school. It's still one of the most fun audience experiences I've ever had. Everybody was screaming, laughing, and making random funny comments throughout the movie. I know it sounds obnoxious, but you truly had to be there
So I watched this movie because of the reaction. I really liked it, but I couldn't help but think, could you imagine going to school with this pack of psychopaths? Like, all the emo/scene/bullied kids woke up the next morning, went to school, and found out that a bizarre suicide pack killed all their bullies. Best day of the year for them.
That's actually what I thought about after watching this, it's going to seem awfully weird that this entire group of awful kids and bullies just all unalived themselves on the same night, I think the people in that area will probably suspect those kids of doing some massive plot to off them. And those kids will be like "Karma is truly real!🙏"😆
