Q: Why is the video in TWO Parts?
A: Copyright reasons. I can show more of the movie to you guys within multiple parts. Depending on the movie I might do THREE parts or sometimes just ONE.
Q: Why is a small portion of the video completely muted?
A: Copyright reasons. Sometimes I get hit with copyright claims AFTER the video has already been posted, my only choice is to refute the claim but if RU-vid denies it, I have to either take down the video or mute the small portion they are claiming. If the video has been up for a while, it is much easier for me to mute this small portion in the YT studio and then unmute it months later after people aren't watching the video as much.
Q: Why is the movie not as loud as I want it to be, why can't you show more of it uncut?

I like this movie too, I think the hate comes mostly because it's an inaccurate adaptation of the comic book story it's based on, but when you're not familiar with it, it doesn't really matter. It definitely has the best action scenes on the series yet, lots of great acting from the cast and Hugh Jackman and Famke Janssen especially have a lot of chemestry as Wolverine and Jean Grey which really elevate their scenes together.

IMO that's just a mega nerd argument and not really relevant; and that's from someone who read the comics and watched the animated show. The real issue with this movie is that it's too short to give time for all the massive stuff that's constantly happening. Also some corny stuff, but that's just the time it came out in. I'd say it's not the worst in the series, but not as good as the first two.

I think the best thing to do is to watch it on your own and ignore what others say cause it gave some X-men films an undeserved bad rep.

Bryan Singer opted out of doing this movie for Superman Returns instead. That's a big reason why Cyclops wasn't in this movie as much because he followed the director and was in Superman Returns, which took up most of his schedule - Hence why he dies so early.

I've gotten flak for years for liking this movie, it's still really good and weirdly relevant with Magneto believing that everyone might be forced to take the cure. The movies a lot of fun, cool reaction. I do think the second is the best of the 3 tho.

Really love your reaction to this series! This movie in particular was very dark and I really like how they were able to show through Jean/Phoenix how far violent emotions can take us, sometimes beyond redemption. Can't wait for your reaction to X-men: First Class! That one is hella fun :)

Storm is an idiot when she has the audacity to say to Rogue that nothing is wrong with her. She can touch people, make love, hug, bet she has no empathy to understand how hard it is for Rogue to exist like she is. She is basically the loneliest creature who cannot fully connect to people because she can't even touch them. It's a torture.

Fun movie. There was a director/writers shift, so while the last movie was setting up the "Dark Phoenix" storyline, the new crew kinda just shoe-in that plot but obviously want to tell the cure storyline instead, which is where the backlash comes from. Still, I personally like it and out of the trilogy it's the one that feels the most like a modern comic book film.

4:22 This is a sentinel which were created by the government, mutant-hunting robots designed to only target people who have the mutant gene playing a massive part in the 1990s X-Men cartoon. I love the design of the sentinels the more modern designs look very similar to Iron Mans armour the head part being the most iconic aspect looking like a face encased in a helmet as the face tends to have a goldish cream colour to while the helmet tends to be pinkish/purple. This design is really cool love that they kept the blocky retro look to it very transformers in that regard.

The Wolverine ( not X-Men Origins Wolverine but the sequel to that) takes place three to five years after the Last Stand. I suggest the extended unrated Unleashed cut edition of that film. X-Men Days of Future Past takes place more than a few years after the events of the Wolverine I suggest the extended Rogue cut of that. Then comes X-Men apocalypse and then Logan takes place after apocalypse and Days of Future Past (Reset future) so during the events of Logan in the reset future he has both the memories of the original timeline PRE days of Futures Past and then the POST days of Futures Past!

Juggernaut and Colossus in the Deadpool movies are huge because they're CGI and more comics accurate. It's best to think of Deadpool and Deadpool 2 as existing in a similar parallel universe to the Fox X-verse.

So before this movie was made, some guys made a few viral videos where they made new voice overs to the Xmen Animated Cartoon. The director liked it and included the line "Don't you know who I am? Some enlightment about Xavier survival and presence in future movies (Especially Days of Future Past, Logan). He did transfer his counciousness/mind into that brainfreezed man's body, as he hints at the begining of the movie. One thing that is not explain, not here nor in future movies, but the directors specified in the movie commentary if i recall right, is that the man in the bed is actually Charles Xavier's twin. Thant would explained why the Xavier from future movies would be : 1 physically the same 2 also a telepath (often mutants siblings both have powers). 3 in a wheelchair : life spend in an hospital bed would explain why he would'nt have functionnal legs either. That would be a reference to the comics where Xavier actually had à twinsister, Cassandra Nova, who had the same telepathic abilities. Fœtus Xavier's powers actually tried to kill her in the womb, and she became à Villain. We can assume that in the movies, Xavier had a telepath twin brother, and that at some point (in the womb or as babies) he fried is brain accidentally, leaving him in an hospital bed for decades... Untill that day when Xavier feels that his mind will perish as Jean telekinetically atomise him. So he decide to tranfer his counciouness/memories into his catatonic twin. He would still have telepathic abilities cause his brother had the same powers, but would still be in a whellchair cause that brother spend most of his life in an hospital bed.

I’m also with you on this. I love this movie and it spoke to me much more than the first two. In spite of the hate, I thinks it’s an amazing movie. There are two more general x-men movies that followed this one and they are both EXCELLENT. There are more, but First Class and Days of Future Past are really special. Just trust franchise arc. It’s all good.

It was never really explained how Charles could return in later films, but I believe the filmmakers' idea was that: That brain-dead man Charles was telling his class about was actually his own identical twin brother, born with no cognitive function (as Charles had 'gotten all the brains'), and thus Charles was able to send his mind to inhabit this body, just before Jean destroyed his own -- and this is why he gave Logan that reassuring smile, just before.

so, there is one thing you gotta know about marvel characters - noone is ever really dead, except Ben Parker ;D although this is more true to the comics than movies still... it is the rule, especially for X-men ppl :D, also Professor X transferred his conciousness into that body he was talking about earlier in class. one minor thing: Juggernaut is not a mutant, he is magical (his powers come from a magical gem), but i guess 1. people back than were not ready for magic stuff, 2. there was no time to even remotely tell his story, so might aswell make him a mutant. also fun story: the actor that was playing him (Vinnie Jones) once held the fastest red card in a foootball (soccer) game: 3 seconds after the start :D (later beaten by some other fellow: 2s, but the 2s was for swearing, and Vinnie's was for a foul)

Most people hate this movie and it nearly killed the franchise. I remember being 16 and absolutely despising it for what it did to so many characters. Love the first two, but I haven't seen this one since.

so just to add everything up so far. the wolverine is the movie that comes out next after this and is mostly disconnected from the main xmen story but still takes place after this one, then first class which is a prequel but i highly recommend you watch it and then go to days of future past after you watch first class as both tie into each other quite a bit and to a lot of people the best ones out of the series (praying that u read this so i didnt type it for nothing lol)

One of the best things to do after this one is watch x men first class and then X-men days of future past (WATCH THE ROGUE CUT! As it’s an extended cut and provides better insight to the story and characters. I’d say days of future past is the best X-men film.

I think your enjoyment of this movie depends on how well you know the original story because in the comics it took a long time to develop the phoenix saga whereas this movie and the other one seem to just cut straight to the dark phoenix part of the story. For me this movie introduced it to me so I'll always love it, but I'm hoping now that mcu owns the rights again, when they eventually get round to it they take there time and do the story justice

Have you seen Winter's Bone or The Poker House? Both early Jennifer Lawrence movies that really show off her skills when she was first starting out. (I will warn that The Poker House has a rape scene late in the movie that's really difficult to watch.)

These X-Men movies have a very loose connection to one another. You’ll see different versions of the same characters in different films- some played by the same actors and others played by different actors. You’ll also see several years pass by between some of the later movies with the same characters barely aging. It’s easier to process if ya look at each film as being set in its own universe; but they’re definitely worth the watch. Cheers 🍻
