Dunno if you'll see this but I'd most certainly be watching your DiRT Rally 2.0 content if you made any! I was there for your livestream you did :) love your content, keep it up 👍
Hey in regards to F1 2020, this years game is actually the most drivable game in a long time. Car setup and player throttle idiocies notwithstanding, there are no random oversteer moments and as long as you're smooth you can do really well with even just a controller. Edit: also how do you bring up the spin indicator, or is that an Index only thing? I'm on Quest.
Honestly this run was so clean. I'm tryna to get used to the whole scoring system by trying to get all those nice headshots and sosig kills etc, with good run time of course. I actually wonder though, do you get a noticeably better score from doing mostly melee takedowns? I've always had a thought in my head if it was truly possible to do a one-hit melee only run and really only have a firearm for unreachable hold targets. Great videos as always and a joy to learn from each one!
From what I have found out with the scoring, only the kills during holds count. Extra point for headshots, and extra points for each dismemberment/bodypart explosion. A lot goes into the scoring!
4 point revolver on calico is a double action, I've usually gotten a webley. I can't believe you through away the martini henry! It has really nice sights for the period and a good cartridge, also I high rate of fire with a bit of practice
Gasp I'm late! Uh wait, What do say again? On another note I have to ask; do you ever have your legs get tired? Whenever I play VR my knees and heels get really sore. I did get some anti-fatigue mats but those keep shifting around since I'm on some thinly carpeted foundation. Binne bleas blay compound
I've noticed the same issue with the non-break single action revolvers, for whatever reason it is really finnicky and inconsistent whether or not you can unload all six chambers quickly or not. Sometimes it works fine, sometimes it skips a shell and I have no idea why it happens.
Did you ever get motion sick when first using armswinger? I never have a problem moving around with teleporting, but trying to move even an inch makes me really motion sick. Never really had a problem with motion sickness outside of VR, which really puzzles me
It took me a long time to get comfortable moving like that. Twinstick still makes me motion sick, as do certain levels, but it is the biggest hurdle when getting into VR.
Hey reload daddy, have you tried putting the options panel in the doorway of the green hallways? Usually when I play freemeat, I do that on the last hold in big rooms. The weenies get stuck if you put it around their torso height~ If it's allowed and if you use it, this is one of the few times you can say a little bird told you the trick. ;>
@@herrsten1255 I found using it pretty funny in some instances, like using it as a makeshift shield~ It is dumb though, yiss, still thought it was interesting enough to post
@@jeditobiwan heh, glad you think so~ I've only been playing for a few weeks despite having the game for a while (never knew about take n hold till you which got me hooked) and since i started, I found a few _resourceful_ tactics. Only a craftybirb could break this game it seems. c; Maybe next time you play freemeat, you should try to find a nice high spot to overlook the zambies or the first combine wave, like in the hold rooms with the black ledge that is against the wall in the multi-story rooms.......hehehehe
Pretty sure its just from the amount of time he's played, and remembered the different round types. Definitely smart to go into one of the levels, and just go through ammo types, testing the pen, and damage of guns you most use. Do a few runs of Take&Hold, remember the guns you get most, and then go into sandbox, and test all the rounds for them, remembering the best ones
May I ask why you cock the Nagant even though it's double action? Is it the force of habit or it's slower to press the trigger to the end? No intention of hating, it's just curiosity :D
I didn't realize it was double! I'm so used to everything else in this board being single action that I didn't even think twice about it. It is nice to have a crisper trigger pull though, for sure.
@@jeditobiwan it's double but it has a MASSIVELY heavy trigger pull if you dont pull the hammer back (about 20lbs); no idea how well trigger pull weight is in h3vr (though i know some of them have modeled binary triggers)
@@anter176 I don't think Anton would add a double action revolver just to make it single action xD Edit: I just checked and he says that he actually made it single. You were right dude, my bad.
Heh. been trying standard health runs so I figured I'd check your vids, only you're not even getting hit at all which apparently I've got problems doing.
Poodle is correct, you can use the trigger when the gate is open. I am far less consistent with that method on my Index controllers though, I prefer the extractor rod method.
I see youre using the armswinger move style, how are you rounding corners with your gun ready and still? I use index controllers and I feel like Im missing somthing simple.
If you go to the movement settings area of the options panel, there is a sub-options area next to armswinger. You can turn on the "base speed" option there, per hand. That allows you to move at a constant speed while holding one or both of the locomotion buttons while keeping your hands still. I run "blazing" on my left hand, with my right hand disabled. Highly recommend!
Based on the scores, most likely. There is a glitch where scores don't upload sometimes even though they should, so it is entirely possible someone else did it first and had that happen. Looks like PuttermyBancakes has already beat my score though.
this is my latest take and hold experince: operator ori, 5 hold, hp: meaty (10000 hp) 3rd hold, i think I look up to see that I have about 1000 hp left behind a full cover I shoot down several sosigs untill one throws a grenade at me, I try to throw it back only for it to hit the celing and explode around about 6 feet away. I take damage and see 6 hp, just 6, not 60, not 600, 6. knowing that this is my last shot at survival I stick behind the full cover ive been behind popping heads with my 357 magnum deagle with nothing but a stock on it, I take down 2 hardened encryptions with dual usp pistols, and erase the last one with one buckshot shot. the remaining sosigs explode and the cover disshapears, after a few seconds new cover pops up with with no cover where I am, I dash to a half cover to my left and continue popping sosig heads several seconds later i am killed by a single bullet from a shotgun, I cant believe I held that for so long, god bless anton this legit happened like 5 seconds ago never sweated harder in my life.
