I learned a while back factory edges don't always meet expectations so investing in a good sharpening system is the way to go. Worksharp has a beginner sharpening system for around $50-$60. And Sharpening can be a therapeutic process & makes a world of difference when you're able to achieve wicked sharp edges.
I have a number of Twosun knives and they often do have a lower end steel but how I see it with all the other materials, fit and finish & a plethora of different designs by accomplished knife designers & makers the lower end steel allows Twosun to offer us knives that look & feel like knives that should cost hundreds of dollars or more for a fraction of the price.
Nice man! I’m liking this one. I had extremely hard detent on mine also when I got it. So hard that the studs were tearing the skin off my thumb. Took it apart. Cleaned and oiled it and now it’s perfect. The action on the close feels like it is on hydraulics. Always was sharp for D2. Probably one of my sharpest. I feel you definitely get your money’s worth with the brand. Hope you get it sharpened up to your liking and it gets better. Yes. Mine is all titanium with D2.

If you drink the rampant "TS is the best deal in knives" kool aid here on RU-vid and you actually understand what makes a knife good or bad, then youre gonna be extremely disappointed by two sun. If youre capable of fixing the (equally rampant) design and fit and finish issues, then you can end up with a pretty decent knife for the money. Edit: I've owned a ton over the years, but the 305-m390, 394 and 348 are the only ones that have stuck around. I had to make new stop pins for the 305 and 394, but they've been good since then. The 348 (unsurprisingly) hasn't seen much use, but I'm happy I own it.
I can totally see where you are coming from. At this point I can't justify the price for what you get in return. I appreciate your comment and watching!
