The primary reason for our channel is my true passion for everything that is a knife. My hobby of knife collecting over the years has lead to me selling knives in a small retail store at the local antique mall in the town where I live. Our store has been well received by my local community and I have met some really amazing people along the way. My desire is to reach beyond my local community and engage with other knife enthusiasts like yourself by utilizing this very platform. I hope that you find the content we provide entertaining and I am grateful that you have taken the time to visit our channel. Thank you!
That's awesome that you said your first s30v version was your grail knife.. I totally get that about 10 years ago. I guessed that you got a 10-year-old right before you said you got it 10 years ago 😂
Native 5 gets my vote for best Spyderco. The slicy geometry, choil and ergos, flat ramp for your thumb. Manix 2 is also really good, perfect cutting lines and I like how the blade is angled slightly downwards for that. The only real issue I had is the lock is awkward. Then I quit carrying both because I got a Demko AD20 and it's like an apocalyptic Manix 2 with a much better lock. Nowhere near as slicy as Spyderco but so much stronger, it's a tank. I have a decent collection (Protech Mordax, Benchmade Mini Adamas, Hogue Ritter, Dead Reckon Wharncleaver and more) but I don't have a rotation anymore.
I agree with you on the Manix 2, I love the one I have but that lock, not so much. I also agree with you on the Demko, I really like the lock on that knife but for me, I really wish mine had a hole in the blade instead of the thumb stud. Sounds like you have a pretty impressive collection my friend. Thanks for watching and the comment!
It would be bladehq that would bring back their exclusive not Spyderco. I applaud you for getting good stuff on ebay, I find blade forums knife exchange to be more reasonable generally.
Thank you - helpful comment - spyderco sucks - gas station plastic crap. If you are going to bother to collect, at least collect something worthy lolololol - hey look at my plastic Spyderco collection - it’s like a watch collector that has a case full of Casio’s - you made my evening, I needed a laugh.
I mean if you are referring to the lightweight knives and don’t like frn that’s fine but the pm2 and the manix2 are incredible knives I have a pm2 in magnacut and the manix2 in rex45… hardly gas station knives lol especially considering spyderco has consistently the best heat treat in the market but yeah I guess that’s gas station shit lol

@@DiomedeKnifeCompanyDKC one of my fav carries is a PM2 in M4, the BladeHQ exclusive with dlc and jade G10. I put a convex edge on it that stays sharp FOREVER. If I lose it I'm hooped because Spyderco won't make those in that configuration anymore.
Can't beat a good Spyderco. I lost my first knife (Black plain jain Tenacious) in a motorcycle accident a while back. Didn't realize it was gone until I got home from the wreck. I went back and looked for it but never found it. Hopefully it made someone else as happy as it made me back when I first bought it at around 10 years old. Cool video, thanks for the share 👊
The Tenacious and Resilience are so nice models. Lots of potential if they upgraded some materials. But a nice model for sure. There's an CPM M4 version as well. (tenacious)
I agree, those are both great. I have the persistence and ambitious as well. I love those models also. I think it would be nice to have an option for better blade steel, but either way I still think they're rad. Thanks for watching and the comment!
I can appreciate your opinion. It's not for everyone, I have both American and Chinese made Spyderco knives in my collection. Thanks for watching and the comment!
It's a nice knife! I'm sure you have already seen it, but just in case you haven't you can get the Spyderco Dragonfly 2 in Zome green. It looks kind of like camo to me, but not the digi camo.
I bought the Tenacious Lightweight in OD green to add to my collection. It was approximately my tenth Spyderco knife. My first was a PM2 in black G10, then a PM2 in Camo G10. Spyderco knives are great.
I won’t buy Spyderco because everyone wants a Slysz Bowie and Spyderco won’t make it in regular production. That’s a company being stupid and annoying at the same time and I don’t support that. Great knives, great steels but the sprints and the non production of knives like the Slysz make Spyderco ridiculous IMO.
I can see your point, for example, just take this knife I made a video on. Makes no sense to not offer it again or at least offer the scales for purchase. I do love a lot of their knives and have plenty in my collection so I personally don't want to miss out on the stuff I do like because I don't see eye to eye with them on everything they do. Thanks for watching and the comment!
Thats the dumbest reason to not support spyderco. Slyz bowie is a collab and not a part of spydercos catalog. I been collecting spyderco for years and still don't own any slyz + spyderco. Exclusives are part of the fun and part of the hobby.
I have had many as well but always seem to sell them. They're such great knives for the money. The one I always keep in my collection is the all black light weight fully serrrated blade, and now this new one.
Para 3 is an amazing knife, it is small in the pocket but when you get it in hand it just feels like so much larger of a knife. It took me a while to get one but I'm so glad I did!
Heck yeah I got one of them seax from you! And I love it. So cool of you man! I have the bugai and that’s been my number one carry for the last two months. I picked up the kizer nice guy for $23, what a great deal. Thanks for hooking us up.
I totally agree, with that high flat grind these knives are great for slicing but probably not so durable at stabbing or prying. Thanks for watching and the comment!
I hear you my friend, I'm currently looking for a Tenacious with a black blade and camo scales. Spyderco did a special release and they are hard to find. Thanks for watching & leaving a comment!
@@DiomedeKnifeCompanyDKC nice I just got a lil native thinking of making digi cam scales for it, wish I had of got that tanto when they were released want one again haha 👍
Sorry for the late reply, that would be sweet, I just scored a brand new camo tenacious on ebay. Been looking for one of those forever, not sure why they won't release that model again. Thanks for the comment!
I am a major Military 2, Compression-Lock, Fan!!! They come with either S90V, S110V, Cruwear, S30V, and SP27. Awesome Video, Bro! :-) Peace, Stiletto :-)
I have a number of Twosun knives and they often do have a lower end steel but how I see it with all the other materials, fit and finish & a plethora of different designs by accomplished knife designers & makers the lower end steel allows Twosun to offer us knives that look & feel like knives that should cost hundreds of dollars or more for a fraction of the price.
I learned a while back factory edges don't always meet expectations so investing in a good sharpening system is the way to go. Worksharp has a beginner sharpening system for around $50-$60. And Sharpening can be a therapeutic process & makes a world of difference when you're able to achieve wicked sharp edges.
White mountain knives is my favorite retailer. No tax or shipping & always get 10% discount with a code from your favorite knife reviewer. Also I've gotten tons of knives at a big discount by checking their knife sales. If you check often you'll definitely find some crazy steals.
I love their military family of knives! I personally got me a southpaw pm2 in s45, then got a couple of dealer exclusives, the cts-xhp warrencliff blade and ELMAX with an Emerson. and then eventually a military 2 n a couple of pm3s.. & waiting on that magnacut pm2 next!
Appreciate a video with the natural micarta. I just got one with black fat carbon and almost sent the knife back because I don’t like the look. But watching this made me order these scales and it will go much more with my tastes.
