I still spend my summers “down the shore.” When my daughter was little she always loved shell hunting. I would buy fancy shells and my husband would secretly throw them while he walked a few feet ahead of us. It was a great feeling to watch how happy she was finding beautiful seashells. We did this for 10 years. And she would always come back to our shore house and save the shells. She’s 20 now and I just told her a few years ago that we put the shells there. She was disappointed that I told her the truth 😂. Someday I will do the same shell hunting with my grandchildren. It’s a fun memory that we have walking on the beach.
The Sun, a friendly face, a beautiful day, a smile, birds singing, a beautiful butterfly are some things that are free, and can be very important for a person. And can be very good for you. Very important but cost no money......!!! 😊👍🏻

First holiday with your first child is a huuuge adjustment with feeds/sleeps/sun/sand and heat and fitting in all those activities. This is your steep learning curve and every time you go away again it will be easier than the time before. God bless you all xx

One of the best things about this video is getting to see Haley in those cute shorts and her bathing suit. Those chunky little legs with the little fat rolls were the most adorable thing! I think Travis is starting to really realize now that the Bates can be just as competitive as the Clark’s, even though you are a Clark now. You dunked him real good girl! It was hilarious. The first look on his face was like he just couldn’t believe that you were going to shove his head in the cooler. I was laughing so hard. The footage you have of all of you on the carousel and the train is just precious. Hailey loved looking at all the lights and colors and yes, I think she is teething! Drag out the bibs or you’re going to be changing her a lot more due to all the slobber from teething. I cannot wait to see her with her first two little teeth. She will be even more adorable and I never thought that could happen! I’m praying that you are going to pass a kidney stone soon Katie. Glad you’re going back to the doctor. For babies at the beach: being a small baby pool and push it into the sand a bit. Fill with a bit of water for the little kids. Put baby powder in a sock and use it to get sand off your skin. Pack n play with a fitted crib sheet on top and another on one side for shade and wind works well.
A kidney stone only hurts when its moving. So when your hurting Katie the stone is moving through the ureter. If the gave you a strainer you need to strain all your urine so you will know when it passes. And some drs wants you to bring it in to their office so the can send it for a pathology report on it.
Katie I also get motion sickness. It helps if you can focus on one object in the distance and as you get closer to it then find another object to focus on. Love your family.
Hi Guys!!! Quick tip- it works great! ( My Pediatrician told me) Take cheap thin baby washcloth, wet both ends & put in a ziplock into the freezer. Take your adult finger around stiff & frozen washcloth, & place on baby’s gums… works so well! Better than teething toys!! Best of luck, she’s Awesome!!! Audrey from PA
Katie, I was told that the pain from the kidney stones is mainly when it is moving, that's why the pain comes and goes. When I had mine, that was DEFINITELY the case. I feel for you.
I've been saying this the last few years about myself. I'm a blonde with light Blue eyes and my eyes have been really sensitive to the bright sun and outdoors period!!! I always had my head down or shading my eyes from the sun. I wish that my mom and grandparents would have given me sunglasses to wear. I also should have with my kids as well.

Katie I get motion sickness too, very easily! Sitting in the passenger seat I get motion sickness. Right before I knew I was pregnant with my daughter I got motion sickness even while driving! It has grown worse with time and she’ll be 6 years old this Friday June 16th. I pray you grow out of the motion sickness.

Hello - I have experienced kidney stones 5 times; 2 times I passed the stones; 2 times passed after lithotripsy; and about 1 year ago I experienced a stone/s ... only 1 day and haven't had an "attack" since ... not unusual. You may have passed it without knowing or it may still be there. Best of luck with yours, listen to your doctor, drink lots of water and move around a lot. POTS is aggravating. My 14 year old granddaughter was diagnosed in January with it. She got in a school bus accident and got a concussion. Then came the passing out and POTS was her new diagnosis😮. If she gets over heated she passes out for a few minutes. scary too. You are a lovely family and I love The Stew Fam too.

Hi, I live in Massachusetts so we are also having the poor air quality from the Canada wildfires 😢. I do have a mommy hack for you to use the next time you go to the beach. Buy a cheap shower curtain liner to put in the hole you dig in the sand and fill it with water. It keeps the water from being absorbed by the sand and keeps the water clean also. I’ve lived on the coast/within walking distance of the beach for my whole life and trust me, this hack works. Enjoy 😉
I am praying for you, kidney stones can be very tough. I was lucky that they were able to break all the larger ones that either could have blocked the ureter or hurt the kidney so I would have had to have surgery, or been extremely painful to pass, with ultrasonic therapy. They all were reduced to just small pieces they called 'gravel' and then I was able to pass them. I now am very conscious of drinking lots of water everyday to lower the risk of new ones forming. Rest, and good hydration can make a big difference - get in the habit of having a large bottle of water with you all the time and taking a drink everything you see the bottle!
I am from Northern Jersey up in Bergen County. I do live in Franklin TN now. I spent every summer vacation in Ocean City. Such great memories. The place with the train and carousel still called Gillians? Is their a putt putt next door? We used to rent bikes too and ride them from one end of the boardwalk to the other and of course get donuts. We also bought sweatshirts too. I am now 57 and can't fit in mine but my kids love them. I'm glad you had such a fabulous week. Thank you for the memories!
