Hi Peyton! I just started PA school last week and omg I am so overwhelmed by the volume of information. You’ve honestly killed it these past 2 semesters? Do you have any tips for how you plan out your study schedule?
Hi, I am a current PA student who started around the same time as Peyton and honestly, your first semester is going to be you figuring out what study methods work for you. And then tweaking and refining your methods over the next semester or two. Personally, I have a white board in my kitchen where I write down the topics want to study that week and then if I don’t cross everything off my list I move the uncrossed item(s) to the next day. Try to designate time slots for studying, but also designate time slots for breaks too!
hiii! first of all being overwhelmed is so normal & i completely agree with everything tiffany said! the first two semesters are trial and error for sure. i try to do about 2-3 hours of work every school night to stay on top of things and always allow a night off (usually fridays and saturdays) so that i don’t get burnt out. as you start taking exams you will learn if you need to study more or if you can cut back. organization is key- you got this!!💜
