This is the best hobby on earth if you ask me. Such a friendly community it’s one of my favorite things about it is shopping plants and fish from private sellers. You meet the most passionate people and they always offer the best tips and tricks based of their experience. Everyone I meet I always tell them to check out MD. Keep up the good work my friend!

Please do a "nursery" where you gather all the fry, put them in an unused tank, and raise them up and give them back to the aquarium shop

I fed mine 49% bottom schratcher & 49% Spawn and grown. The 2% was a tiny tiny peace of raw garlic and 1 whole Atlantic shrimp, just for the good smell. And they get calcium from the shell. 🙂👌

Hey MD, it might be a fun idea to grow the glossostigma emersed. Basically like your plant storage greenhouses, but with a layer of dirt in it. I've done it before and it grows really nice and fast.

Hey MD, nice video ! I've heard that some fish when moved they reproduce, it's a kind of survivor instinct, they do it in order to maintain the species alive! but of course a good big tank does help a lot !

Maybe you could put like a coconut shell shelter for them. Let the babies have shelter and makes it less tiring for the adults too

Vacuum them out . Crank up the brine shrimp hatchery. Toss the fancy light and plants in the bin and raise the fry in a bare bottom by feeding the fry 4 times a day. Or at least just squirt live baby brine into that nice looking tank multiply times a day. Enjoy the journey. Thanks for sharing.

sometimes with tissue culture plants the gel that the roots are in can start rotting the plants if its not super thoroughly washed. my 2 culture plants are still dying off and growing bad hair algea while everything else is fine.

The moving cam effect at the start isn't as bad as you might think, but I get it if it disrupts your ability to show the aquariums. Otherwise, it's kinda cool

I've raised several batches of apistogramma cacatuoides fry in my community tank. I bombed the entire tank with BBS for 2-3 months and the oldest are now adult sized.

Glosso needs nitrogen from very early stage.. lot of Hi Tech tanks spray Nitrogen ferts on the aquasoil before planting Glosso .. you could have tried some root tabs on the foreground and wait for a week more ?

You have amazing aquariums without co2 adition. I try the same in a juwel, tuned with an extra Oase biomaster 600, water is always prefectly clean, but the plants are just melting and not growing no matter what I try, ferts, different light program, nth works since 1 year. I am literally demotivated here. I will try give up most of the fish now since I see you have always few fish in the aquariums. The funy part is that in a smaller aquarium where I have just a an air pomp with a sponge, no ferts and just some shrimps, plants are well, not having any issues or signs of GSA like in the main aquarium.

My bolivians spawned a few months ago and I pulled the eggs they hatched and then didn't make it. Next time I'll leave it up to the parents and see if they have better luck.

Everything looks awesome… As for the rams, they may spawn a lot but it takes a perfect environment to let them feel comfortable. Great job ! As for the appistogrammas, you have created an amazing home (which I don’t believe we have seen enough of) and if you are all about the fish, why would you destroy their home ?

I feel like there's some secret for rams, I had two and they seemed fine and then randomly died a couple weeks later. My tank is really clean and all of my other fish are healthy

@@kpov2533 I tried to keep them in the 80's & 90's. Had no idea what I was doing! No books on GBR"s back then, definitely no internet as we know it, or smartphones! I had them in a community tank, which was fine= but at 75°f. I basically froze them to death! It ws so sad. I kept trying, but they kept dying. So I finally quit buying them- I felt so guilty. I know what they need now, and will try again someday. Best of luck to you- I do hope you try again.

I wonder how you gonna feed the fry ? From what I heard it's pretty tricky because they need to eat several times a day but we tend to not feed our tanks that often, and the very thin food particles they need tend to get sucked into the filter very quickly so the fry don't have much food in the end.

There’s multiple ways you can feed the fry. You can get flake food and grind it up really fine and feed that. There’s some companies that make premade fry food. You can also feed live baby brine shrimp and bloodworms as well as a few more live foods

@@doomiedee I was not talking about the type of food, but how is he gonna consistently keep the fry well fed in this aquarium, knowing that they need to be fed every few hours and most of the fry food is gonna get sucked immediately into the filter.

@@cocotte9104 most fry will do perfectly fine getting fed twice a day. Feeding ever few hours might produce faster growing fry but also increases in maintenance. A way around the filter issues is using a turkey baster to target feed the fry

hi md! great video the fry are so cute!! i was just wondering if you have any advice as to how to get rid of fin rot. My better has had it for monthsssss and i have tried all sorts but it just won't go :/ do you have a go to for this problem?
