I love the idea that Fjord asking Yasha about colours was an attempt to change the subject and the "Oh, Jesus" was him realising that it failed due to Beau bringing it back to flirting.
He said it like his soul and consciousness were trying to transcend into heaven trying to get away from the third wheeling, but then was dragged back down
I was in the exact same position with my best friends. They had been in a will they/won’t they situation for years ever since they were roommates in college. It got to the point that I decided to stop feeling awkward every single time they were around each other, cautiously flirting and testing the waters. I actively worked to get them together up until the point I officiated their wedding. Now they confidently flirt whenever I’m around and it’s slightly less awkward

The animation on this is absolutely flawless, the expressions come across so clear and it absolutely adds so much to an already funny scene! Fjord's discomfort is so relatable.
The way travis plays fjord is just me in so many aspects, I can't count how many times I've third wheeled just trying to escape the awkwardness and they always dragged me back. Edit: to straight and gay couples.

Normally I think it's kind of offensive to assume that asexual people don't understand sexually suggestive things, but it literally took a year and an animation for my poor asexual mind to realize what the joke was and now I can't stop laughing. I genuinely thought it was just a throwback to the time they were trying to get information about Yussa's tower and they were sort of teasing Fjord for spending all of his time at a fish market back then.
