Just want to say Mike's design is excellent. Mounted a 54in Haswing Caymen GPS to his trolling motor mount on my fish pro sport and it works great. The mounting bracket is super sturdy, spot lock and point to point navigation using the Helmsman app is a game changer. Highly recommend this product.
Love this idea. Wish something like that was available in Australia :-) I like that it is detachable and includes the battery. I was considering for cost reasons maybe not getting a proper spot lock trolling motor as they are $3000 here but a cheap manual trolling motor which are about $500 until I have time to save up for a better one :-) For me the use would be to get out of shallow water without sucking up debris, a second means of propulsion and getting into fishing spots shallow or deep more quietly. Dont think I can justify the extra $2500 for the spot lock but I would love it. These non-spot-lock motors are generally transom mount for tinnys unlike the Minn Kota. I wonder if the same design could be extended to allow either type of mounting easily. Possibly just a 90 like bracket mounted instead of the minn kota that the transom mount motors will work on?
So I don’t have a boat, any reason why I should buy a fish pro over a small cheaper aluminum bass boat? I live in NW Louisiana, our lakes are great but very marshy.
Hello Mike! Love the work! have you figured out how to mount a trolling motor on a seadoo switch? we have a 2022 18 foot sport with swim deck. Thank you
Hi Mike. Mike I’m really not a tech guy at all. I have a ski on order and would lover for it to have a GPS trolling motor. Can you build one and attach it?
@@MikeSTINGER Yes Mike. I want to make sure I’m communicating properly. The ski has trolling modes built it. I’m trying to figure out if there is a way to attach one of those GPS trolling motors I see on fishing boats that hold a fixed position.
sorry to bother you. i think your idea is just fantastic, but do all the buttons on the remote still function as normal. is forward still forward and reverse still reverse. thanks
Great design and fabrication work! Where’s the batteries and how much weight does this add to the ski? In deep water this is a god send for GPS anchoring.
Just got my mount in from Mike... man quality is awesome. nice welds and super light weight. Mike - what size ulterra were you running in that video? the 48 or the 60? looks like a 48... Thanks!
Seafood said the jetski cannot been moved more than 8km/h forward or backward in the water when engine is off, otherwise water will go in and damage the engine. How can u prevent this problem ?
@@MikeSTINGER I share the same concerns that ronald expressed in the above comment and was curious if you had issues personally with water entering your engine .If so have you come up with any solutions ?
Hey Mike, so I would only be able to fit one 12v battery on this mount ? Im thinking of getting the 24v Minn kota, do you think that’s overkill for the 2022 Fishpro trophy? I fish saltwater in current around bridges. I’m getting ready for the spring now, what are yours thoughts and what is your turn around time for the mount?
Thank you very much. As for the reason in the back it's really simple. I have been over the front one time when I hit a sandbar and that was More than enough for me to not place anything in the front of the ski.
