I am new viewer to your channel after RU-vid analytics suggestion. You have quite a few beautiful tanks. That 75 gallon looks awesome as it is. The fish are all healthy . Liked and subscribed to your channel.
I have a love/hate relationship with algae. I know it's usually not bad for fish and sometimes the opposite but I do lean on removing it. That said there is something very wild and natural about your tanks.
I use to fight with it but after seeing how awesome some of Lucas Bretz tanks were I decided to give it a try. It makes keeping fish easier and I've grown to love the look.
Your tanks are wonderful!! I love to see someone that is not all freaked out about algae. We want our tanks to be pleasing to us, but shouldn't we want the fish to be happy above all else? The love to nibble on algae and stuff with biofilm all day long.
Algae is fine. I'm wondering if the first tank doesn't have a bit too much light (or too long exposure) for the anubias within. Perhaps it would have less algae on the anubias leaves with less light.
@@IansFishRoom More people are coming around these days & realizing that algae isn't something you need to fight with or get rid of.. I look at it as an easy way to know my tank has balanced ! Once I have enough bacteria, The algae stops growing everywhere, dies back & leaves just a light coating on some rocks/decor.
Your red red floaters probably died because that tank has a lid. The lid causes perspiration and water on the top causing them to die. I'm not an expert, but I recently looked into floating plants myself. And having a lid is a nono.
