Lots of people saying: ‘I’ve never seen this”, “wish I’d been there”, “where did you get this”, etc. It’s the DVD of the 2004 tour, in support of the ‘Field Of Crows’ album, filmed at the TACC (Town & Country Club) Bradford, although several places in the UK have a venue by the same name - including north London’s late, lamented TACC in Kentish Town, which ceased as the TACC in 1993 and has been re-tooled, renamed and ruined as a result in the meantime. The DVD is not just Bradford but includes tracks from elsewhere on the tour. Get the DVD - it’s very well done- and it’s very much like having been there.
bullenreiter ^uck off! His best was with Marillion ! R u deaf ? These songs aren’t a stitch on early Marillion. A good time ! He spent the rest of his life trying to recapture Fragments of his amazing work with Marillion !
Kevin Leavy no when fish went solo he forged ahead with his own sound . Any good musician does this . What Marillion created with him in the band was left when he left them . The chemistry they had in that era won’t be duplicated nor the same bc he isn’t apart of that band . Both fish and Marillion carried on just fine without each other and made great music . It’s your opinion he is trying to sound like Marillion . He does continue to make fantastic music 😎🎸
Nice, brings back memoires of the time Fish and his support Never The Bride. He was on tour in Europese and came to Holland. We gave the big guy a big....Well He Knows, We Know ;)
fish and the band were influenced early on by floyd and genesis, phil collins. fish is fish he has has own ways and i miss him in the band.i miss his crazy outfits and he loved to dance and dress up in costumes or certain things pertained to the song. he loves life. for his age and no hair he still rocks still gets us going. hes one scot I would have on my fighting team .. long may derek live and long live scotland.
ive seen him many times,,Liverpool, new brighton on the feast tour in 2013,and many before and after ! hes touring for the last time !!!!sad days !!but hes doing Liverpool in sept, got my ticket !!
And their drummer is known as "Fish." However, that wasn't "recent" and they only did "Watcher" (as far as "early Genesis" goes) to honor Genesis going into the R&RHOF. They don't perform "Watcher" in regular concerts--or at least, haven't yet.
FISH TO PETER.G. FISH WRITES DEEPER MEANING LYRICS THAN P.G. ....ONE OF THE BEST LYRIC WRITERS EVER ..DEFINITELY IN THE TOP FIVE .... BUT THEN AGAIN THIS MAN IN GOD TO ME ...(WHAT COULOR IS GOD .....HE TARTAN ) CLASS DEREK .... (DAD CASEY)

Comparing Fish to Peter Gabriel? I honestly don't see it. Actually prefer Fish over Gabriel on many albums. Fish may be influenced by Gabriel, but it doesn't mean he is trying to be him.
When Marrillion released their first album, they did got accused to being a Geneisis copy but I have listen a lot to Genesis all albums, specially the ones with Gabriel and I can't see the likeness at all and I did it for this reason, to find the likeness. The 2 first albums with Marrillion has that nice med eval feeling, which Genesis never had but it doesn't make Genesis bad at all as their first albums are extreneley great and original and I like Gabriel as well and seen him live ones. They are all good in their own ways. I have seen Fish with Marrillion live 3 times, so damn great concerts
Don’t see any parallels between Gabriel and Fish. However, Sunsets on Empire dvd disc 2 interview with Fish he does talk about their music being a hybrid pink Floyd/genesis which could explain any confusion.
On the rim of the machine the animals had gathered. Big cats at a waterhole waiting on the weak and wounded to stagger into their territory so they could exercise some violence and feed their starving reputations. No climbdown in this standoff with the world. They already know that they can never win the war but in this battle they're gonna do some damage. The pack will follow the stragglers into the dawn.
Sorry but I just have to ask. Why the HELL is this video squashed into 4/3 format? It’s only saving grace is the sound quality. So why bother with the visual portion if it’s going to be distorted? 🧐
