Absolutely my favorite way to spend my Friday night with my nerdy friend, who teaches us so much if we really listen. Thanks for yet another awesome video 👍. I'd like to see a video on how beginners can easily set up a tank for those who have interest as well as needing a distraction with everything that's going on across the globe. Alex, every time you upload a video or go live, it's better to me than watching my favorite TV show, lol. My daughter walked in my room and asked me what I was so happy about 🤣😂🤣 Thanks for not only being my entertainment, but also my teacher and friend. You rock honey!! Hello to your wife from NC 😷😀 Sheri
Awww thank you, im so incredibly honored to hear that...and for me it's also a distraction from the train wreck in society lately. I hope to be producing more content while we are all cooped up
If you had lectured me at college, I would have been much more engaged. Wonderful content again Alex. Please keep taking us down the nerdy rabbit hole x Stay safe
Ill try to do one in depth video a week and maybe 1 or 2 shorter and less "nerdy" or dry videos like updates, species spotlights and so forth. But im glad people are appreciating the hours of research and reading that i do for these science or history based videos. ... if only i had a budget to hire an digital illustrator for my sketches... id love to sketch the process and figures, then animate them and have them layered progressively. Thanks again! Take care
Thanks, It's what i like the most, but for some people it's too dense and dry. To me, i think this level is still not that specific...i could have discussed each reason for 45 mins if we got into chemistry and physics...but i get off track and talk too much as it is, so im trying to stay focused lol
The important factor for your channel is your viewership. Keeping account of the "Likes" over time should indicate viewer preferences. Having been away from the hobby for forty years, I will watch just about anything relating to aqua science, hardware, aquascaping, fish, shrimp, etc. The only subject that does not interest me is "unboxings".
If i cleaned up the illustrations from a bunch of my videos...like the golden ratio and rule of thirds in aquascaping...or life cycles of parasites...it could look cool. I want to get more species of fish in the clothing line too...and now i have the time to do it haha
Awesome video! I love me some evolution so this was very enjoyable, and I learned some things :). (When I was younger I had a albino ferret and I named him Darwin b/c I found it hilarious in a ironic sort of way. I quickly realized it wasn’t funny how often I had to explain it tho, but at least some knowledge was spread.)
Great topic. I have been trying to learn more about just this, healthy and pathogenic skin, scales, glands and slime coat. TB in rainbows and fish missing scales and how to diagnose and treat. Both totally different things.
Well i was just thinking about us humans, and our own defense systems...and a fish i have, needed a salt dip. So i decided to read about it all for about 10 hours the days prior. If you can think of any other subjects that you want to know about, that are hard to find detailed answers about, please just let me know! Thanks again, my friend. Take care
Don't forget to support Alex by simply liking the video 👍 and check out his tspring store as well as the other links in the description of this video. I'd definitely consider sponsoring his channel through Patreon or just PayPal like I do. Knowledge is power, the power to be the best fish/shrimp/plant keeper you can be!! Just show a little love in whatever you can in your situation. But REMEMBER just liking the video is FREE to you and the least we can do for Alex. It doesn't have to cost you a dime if you support him in this way. Just saying...... Take care everyone and stay safe and healthy. 😷❤️👍 Fish on my friends and stay healthy. 💯❤️. Sheri
Highly informational and much appreciated. What is your educational background if you don't mind me asking - I am a STEM student heading into a Biology & Engineering dual-major. Hope to obtain a Ph.D. in Bio/Environmental Science and then use Engineering knowledge to develop patents and prototypes to assist in bioremediation and similar work. About to finish my first degree, wondering how long this took you to learn as I already have a couple years of raising Tilapia under my belt and did not know a lot of this.
Interesting video. :) Thanks. Maybe try coconut oil for your skin. No idea if it would work, but if it doesn't you can just eat the oil instead. I use coconut oil on my hands if they get dry.
I don't need fast flow for any of them other than my rimless guys in the living room. The others i like to trickle and in my opinion, it let's the bacteria really eat away at the nitrates... like the slow plenum concept
Very informative... thought I already knew everything about slime coats... I did not! LOL... Random Question: So, I know it's not a fish, but is the mucus like substance, that forms pearls, technically a slime coat? Some of your explanations, of its abilities, made me think it might be... 🤔😄 Thanks!
@@Fishtory or make a paid class. I'd do it. You have an amazing talent to teach. I only found your channel about a month ago. Your content is so amazing I joined ☺️. First time I ever joined any channel.
