FISHER PH-480　大型のラジカセです。左側のスピーカーからの音が小さいという問題がありました。色々と調べてみましたが、中々原因にたどり着きませんでした。その後あと２台のPH-480を加え、合計３台のパーツを組み合わせながら色々とテストをしていて音が出ない問題の原因にたどり着きました。
問題はセンターユニット中央部に位置するトーンコントローラーでした。３台のユニット全てがそれぞれ音の問題を抱えていたのですが、全ての原因がこのトーンコントローラーであることを突き止めるまで、なんと８２時間もかかりました。
道のりは長く苦しかったのですが、結果ＯＫということで最後のサウンドテストではFISHERのパワフルなサウンドを聞くことができました。
あなたももし同じラジカセを持っていて、同じように音の問題に悩んでいたら、まずはトーンコントローラーを確認してみることをお勧めします。

面白い動画をありがとうございます。気持ちすごく良く分かります。どうしても最初にコンデンサーやトランジスタを疑いたくなるんですよね。でもよくよく調べると、もっと単純なベーシックな部分が壊れている事が多い。電子部品自体の故障は、我々が思うほど多くないと言うことでしょうね。特にバブル期の部品は過剰品質で30年経っても壊れない。。。

The Fisher PH-480 is very complicated to fix this problem in 82 hours of you job, wow!!!. The cost of this Fisher's fix is almost great US$830 Dollars?? Congratulations by you video, Mr. Teddy Hashee!

What is the audio IC number you have installed ? I have ph480 with failed IC

I am in the middle of the re-locating my work bench. So I can not see the IC number right now. But you can get the service manual online, there are tons of info you can use to restore your PH-480. I downloaded from boomboxery.com forum.

@@teddyhashee in the video it appears that you have installed LA4120{6v} but manual (I have downloaded from your link) says LA4126T{12V}. when you get chance please confirm which number IC did you use for this?

Teddy, I have 100% same problem like your stereo. Left speaker not working, checked amplifier both sides it’s working great but no sound in left speakar. Then I saw your video FISHER PH480 and researched circuit and found that MIC mixing (beside BASS,TREBLE) sliding potentiometer is faulty , replaced it and everything works great like new now. Thanks for your video.

Amazing skillful dianostic trouble shooting work !!!! the amount of complex circutry they put into such a small box super dense but you fixed it ! your a stereo doctor ! the 480 is one the true classics we have you around to keep them playing thanks ! just no way i would have the patience to work on this it would sit on the shelf just looking good no sound lol! take care.
