I don't know. All these 'new' streams look an awful lot like the same stream. They're identical in character. Low lying. Woodland. Muddy bottom and banks. This many big trout in this kind of water? It's just not natural.
Awesome video Dusty! That creek was full of quality fish , and I’m sure you’ll be back targeting the ones that spooked or wouldn’t take ! For me it’s hard seeing what your seeing, like when they are following your lure ! You have polorized glasses on , and the reflection off the water makes it difficult to pick up fish! Overall this was an epic two part video and some stunners landed ! Good job buddy
Awesome video dusty ! Great catches and can tell you definitely care for the fish . When I hook one in the gill too it definitely hurts but it will happen once in a while . You did great holding them up and getting them back . You are doing great 👍 Those fish will continue to live and bite again. Many more to come with big mating trout in the water. Couple of them were really nice. Them popped waders are great on a hot day though huh 🤔 haha I wear the old ones in the summer on purpose.
Yeah man, I’m sick to my stomach when I bad hook one…. You do it enough, it definitely does happen though! Definitely appreciate the kind compliments boss….🤙 yeah man I’m with you, I can’t wet wet wade in the areas that I go, too much multi floral Rose, poison ivy and a potential snakebite, I will stick with the water filled Waders! Lol👌😂
The use of single barbless hooks and a landing net are the best ways to limit the physical and stress related harm to the fish. Great to see you releasing those big trout. Tight lines.
Definitely watch more of my vids….. I do have a net as of 2020 & pinch my barbs on my streamers & spinners! Some of my older content neither of those were present! Always growing & always C&R👌🤙
@@chasingthewildwithdustyrho2620 I just found your vids recently and saw how concerned you were about that big Brown bleeding. Great video. Watching a big Brown slide out of cover to intercept your spinner always gets me as excited as a kid on Christmas morning. I get the impression it's kinda like that for you too lol. I will definitely be watching more of your videos.
Great video! Reminds me of my own trout fishing. I hate ruining a nice little hole with a snag but nice to now know I am not the only one it happens to. Water starting to warm up a lot here in Western Pa but I was out yesterday and caught 5 nice big healthy rainbows that fought well and released well. But weirdest thing is I had the same exact thing happen. A trout bled a bit although it wasn't hooked in the gills or deep and it appeared to be just fine after released. I watched it as best I could to make sure. I wonder if it is just due to warming water perhaps? 90 degree days with no rain for next week so trout fishing about done here. Keep up the great video's!
Appreciate the love Brotha…🤙😁 Yeah man it’s turning into bad news bears quick with the waters temps rising in this heat…. I’m done for a while myself! 👌
Hey i missed the location of the parking area you are at LMAO, amazing fish you hooked into. Continues success I would love to see what these large fish are feeding on, the have to be eating good size fish
Another nice outing yeah i feel sick to my stomach when ya get a bleeder ,, i usually harvest a couple a year on these basis.. it stinks but atleast the fish didnt go to waste and made a healthy meal for me.
Love your content. Just started fishing in NE PA after years away from it. Questions: when you say plan B, is that a rubber worm or a real one? when you use your streamer I love the action and that it looks like a little minnow but is it weighted? like with a jig head, you seem to be able to cast it pretty far
Appreciate the love man and glad you are enjoying! 🤙 Yes, my Plan B is an actual nightcrawler. I haven’t really use them much in the last couple years. I’ve been trying to stay straight artificial, switching up my Plan B now to the Streamer’s. And yes, my streamers are a weighted jig head basically with a Maribou tail, my good buddy actually makes them and gives me a few every now and then! Best of luck & Tight Lines boss! 🤙
Try something for me,instead of sight fishing don't be scared to cast around edges even if the water is low. Just because you don't see them doesn't mean they are not there. I'm not an expert but I think it will get you some more fish. Awesome fishing.
I’m a big fan of just giving the state on social media….. unfortunately if you give too much info to thousands of people your honey holes turn into your 💩 holes! 🤷♂️ That’s just my stance on it! I do fish all over the state though! 👌
These fish act like there's too many of them for this amount of water with not enough food to go round. But if there's not enough food, how did these 'wild' trout get so big without dying of old age first? In open, unregulated, unprotected water? It doesn't add up.
I’m really glad you’re enjoying my videos man……and I’m really enjoying all of the complements, kind gestures & skepticism. I will try to keep the big fish content coming for you, definitely seems like you’re enjoying it.👌😁😂
I’m not sure if you realize how many miles of trout stream there are in Pennsylvania but there is a lot…..I literally put on a couple miles of walking to get these fish that I got in this video! I don’t know what everyone’s infatuation is with not seeing people while you’re fishing a trout stream. I personally like it that way. Maybe take a note or two from this instead of try to cut it down & make it seem like “oh he’s only catching big fish because there’s no one else in the video”! I mean come on! Lol🤷♂️
@chasingthewildwithdustyrho2620 Because your pole is taking a LOT of the stress. You're more apt to lose the fish. Allowing the fish to move more naturally instead of reefing them in, will give you a much better chance of landing them. Pulling them in with "100% pole" and when they have full strength is risky. I constantly manipulate the drag throughout the fight. When I land them without a net, I also keep the pole very high and almost behind me.
@chasingthewildwithdustyrho2620 I REALLY enjoyed a large part of your videos. I watched a bunch today on my T.V. for the first time. Your casting talents are OFF THE CHARTS - UNBELIEVABLE.
@@BRIGRANSTROM I run 8lb test and try to horse them a bit when there’s cover….. if they wrap a tree or branch they are certainly goners….. when you are in control of the fish your chances go wayyyy up of landing them! Watch all of my videos lol….. I don’t do terrible at getting them in hand! 👌🤙😁
@@BRIGRANSTROM I greatly appreciate your follow & complements ….. was just mentioning on your previous comment to watch more of my vids! Lol…… I have some decent content on all of them….. I’ve tried to get better, net, pinched barbs, streamers, and Always the utmost respect for the fish!! 👌😁🤙 Thanks again & Tight Lines 😊
I think Tom does a decent job of handling the fish, always wets his hands and releases gently. It is important to release fish quickly and a net would help. Single barbless hook on the spinners would make them easier to unhook but the catch rate would go done. It's a fact that no matter how careful you are, some fish will die after being released.
"where is that blood coming from" .... uhhh the big metal trebble hook spinner. If you really care about these fish you would stop chucking metal lures
Your opinion is much appreciated….. as I’m sure you’ve seen if you’ve watched many of my videos, I’ve been stepping up my barbless & streamer game, this vid was from (2020)….. but in all honesty I Very rarely ever had fish bleed on the spinner, it normally a very clean hookset in the lip with a clean unscathed release! 👌 Cheers & Tight Lines 🤙
@@DownstreamDownrange I’ve actually never used a single hook set up, but I pinch the barbs on the ones that I use & they pop right out with ease now, most of them actually pop out when I net the fish! Barbless is a great step in the right direction though! 👌😁
