Yeah, my motto is if you go lite, most of these fish will break your line lol…. I used to use those lite lines back when I was a bait fisherman. But when I switched to spinners & even before really I was way more big fish break me off than should have so I switched to 8lb Stren mono & never looked back 👌🤙
Appreciate the follow boss….. glad you’re enjoying….. I’ll do my best to keep the good times rolling for you guys!! 👌🤙😁🎣 Tight Lines and the best of luck in your future endeavors! 🤙
Such is the nature of fishing with spinners. You miss alot but that’s what keeps us coming back. You totally persevered and collected your prize at the end. Great work and excellent video. Without giving away your spot, where abouts in pa are you?? I’m in the pocono area. ✌️🇺🇸
Really appreciate it man…. you’re being too nice lol…… have you seen all of them yet….. I’ve got a few banger outings that definitely top that one! Haha🤙😁👌🎣
@@mikeventrice2861 “Trout Fishing the Most Epic Day Ever (Part 1 & 2)” was an absolutely incredible outing….. my 1st time hitting this particular stretch of water & it was a Big Wild Brown Bonanza….. Check those if you haven’t man! 👌🤙😁🙌🎣
9:30 is typically how my casts go! My other favorite one is when you've got a great hole, but there's a mature tree across your access that is parallel to the surface of the hole, and about one foot off of it. So you can either cast over top, and hope you can keep the fish on while moving up to the log and passing the rod underneath, or try some crazy pendulum or sidearm stuff trying to cast completely horizontally. Andddd, I start typing the comment early in the video, and you run into a similar situation, haha. Love it when that Go-Pro doesn't record! I bought one of those Anker Battery Banks from Walmart and have it velcro cable tied to my head harness on the back, so I can let the Go-Pro run the whole time I'm fishing, and not have to worry about the battery. Those two tanks were great brother. It seems to be that they either instantly hook up with the Mepps for, but if they miss it, and catch just a piece, it'll shut them down. Not educate them, they'll still want to follow and nip, but it's about impossible to coax em into another strike. Keep it up my brother! I caught a couple nice browns in the swelled up creek on Monday and got some good footage, so that'll be going up once I figure out how to edit! Thanks again dude!
Thank you as always my Man!!!👌🤙😁 I will definitely have to give one of those battery packs a shot. Sounds like those could be a game changer for sure. The only problem I’m probably going to run into is my GoPro is basically outdated, they don’t even sell actual GoPro brand batteries for the Hero 8 Black anymore.🤦♂️🤷♂️ Yeah man it seems like when the pressure systems aren’t completely perfect those big fish just don’t eat like they do on certain days when they just smash it, you’ll see them following a lot more or nipping at it…. amazingly somehow on those bad pressure system days half to 3/4 of the fish that hit don’t get hooked somehow! 🤷♂️🥴🤷♂️ Tight Lines as Always my Brother🤙😁😎
@@chasingthewildwithdustyrho2620 Dude, no idea why my reply didn't go through. It was just a bunch of BS about what replacement go pro camera door and the Anker PowerCore Essential 20K Battery Bank that I use, and a few of the pit falls to rigging it up. It's enough juice to shoot for two full days, which is really nice. Also said that I'd send you pics of the how I rig it on Facebook, which I've done, just wanted to forewarn ya dude! Hope it's of some use brother! It's really cool to not have to worry about the damn camera turning off anymore!
You should try and pop the lens out of a pair of polarized glasses and put it on the go pro lens it might make it easier for us to see what you do in the water
Sad that the art of back reeling has been all but lost! Personally I hate handling big fish with loose drags ! I have lost a couple in my years of perfecting the back reeling technique but it works well in controlling the big ones because the rod works more against them !
Thank you very much..thats the size I thought you were using and color ..I really enjoy your videos I like in Maryland about a mile from the Fulton county, pa line..I do alot of stream fishing up in pa ..we don't have many wild trout streams in this part of the state..I'm pretty sure you do alot of up state and east pa ..I know there's alot of native streams up there.. thanks again for the videos..keep up the good work
What exactly do you mean??…. the water was fairly stained and that is a super deep pool that he was living in! I also try to wear camo or Earth tone patterns when I’m trout fishing! 👌
@@chasingthewildwithdustyrho2620 ik where your at lmao. Never fished it but always wondered if it held trout. Gets pretty low in summer when I work at the camp by it
Yeah most of these big fish in my videos are actually wild trout from streams that actually aren’t stocked! Definitely fortunate in PA to have an abundance of streams that hold quality fisheries & a Super Wild Trout reproduction! 👌🤙😁🎣
@@stevieb9104 So you’ve fished every stream in Pennsylvania I’m guessing?? Nope, didn’t think so…… I’d say have your facts straight before you go making fact claims….. otherwise at the end of the day you’re just spewing your hater opinion looking like a 🤡🤡🤡 Anyhow Tight Lines & the best of luck in your future endeavors! 👍🎣
I love mepps spinners those are my go toos when there not feeding off the bugs ive caught a lot of trout with mepps aglia plain spinners gold and silver colored and also i caught the biggest golden rainbow ive ever caught with the mepps thunderbug spinner and a couple huge brown trout with the mepps black fury dont have much luck with the trailer versions of the mepps spinners tho but when im not using those and there eating the bugs off the top of the water i throw dry flys and wet flys and get absolutely crushed theres no better feeling than catching them off flys they fight like crazy
@@tokeup4204 Yeah I really need to get into the fly game….. I know there’d be a learning curve getting used to the longer rod but I think I’d love it once I got the hang! 🤷♂️🤙😊🎣
Thanks Boss, I appreciate it!!! 👍👌😁 I honestly fish all over the state and find big fish all over the state. You just have to put your time in to the right areas and generally pays off. 🤙😁🎣
Could you private message this location? I am really keen on getting a 20 inch wild trout this summer. Have fished big spring and the letort but haven’t gotten anything over 15. Thanks!
Unfortunately, I really don’t give out any locations….. I can pretty much tell you that there are big fish in most streams. You just have to really put work in to catch them. Some streams are definitely better than others. If you can locate some streams that do have bigger fish just put time into those and it will pay off! 🤙🎣
