Today I was fishing my CSO 9 ft 8wt Stave fly rod with a 1.5 ips leader and 2 foot 20 lb fluoro with 6 foot 12 lb fluoro to my fly. I was able to muscle in a huge snagged chum - a difficult thing to do sometimes! My buddy Joe also got in a nice fish hooked in the mouth (bycatch) and quickly released as chum fishing was not open at this time. I finally found the spot I should have been fishing in the toilet bowl - shallow! A few nice fish were caught today, just not by me. Will come here again and spend my time on fishier spots.
