There's 2 spots you can pick to go down, one of the spots i had no issue either tide... your only problem is that freak waves come out of nowhere so you gotta keep your eyes on the ocean at all times and gotta watch out making it down the rocks safely without falling, I've been once but been a bit too paranoid to go back.... the spot without the viewing platform has quite a big drop and when you go down there's rope tied from trees to assist you going down and when you go down you can see cross memorials of where people died.. there's a new rule stating that for these high risk location is mandatory life jacket usage.... if you want the exact location I can assist you in finding it
There's a portion of the track where there's no rope and has a massive drop, I wouldn't trust the ropes either too much because last time I went there was 6-8 roped that had been attached, ripped and reattached onto each other.... I know someone currently thinking of putting steel post deep into the ground and steel cable to make it more accessible for the public where you can latch a harness onto
