I fish Abbotsbury on the Chesil Beach on Monday 11/3/24. Tide range is 0.1(1330 hrs) m to 4.2 m (2000 hrs) , making it one of the biggest tides of the year. I fish from 1230 to 2245 hrs
Having parked in the beach car park , I fished approx 400 m towards West Bexington. Access is easy as you can walk up Burton road, although it was flooded in places . Parking cost £8 for about 12 hrs .
Using simple 1/0 - 2/0 pully rigs and S1 2 hook clipped and loop rigs I catch a range of species - Plaice, dogfish, pouting and conger. Dogfish were very frequent after dark. Some crab action, stripping baits so I used pop ups to get the baits off the bottom. 170 g grip leads were ok in the tidal pull
Baits were blow lug, ragworm, frozen blacks , squid , mackerel and bluey. Most of the bait came from Reel Fun Fishing in Portishead
Unfortunately , many of the videos I took, had no sound, so the video this time is less talking and more sequences linked with some tunes.
