Back in the 70s and 80s caught a lot of stripers using jigs cast off the lee side of points or on the windy shore of coves like the one you guys are fishing.

Last friday night I was parked at one of the parking lots off 152 and at sonetime in the early morning my campershell was brokrn into and my property stolen. To add injury to insult, i got skunked as well.

One thing about where you park at 152, if you can’t see your car then you shouldn’t have park there because in this world there’s so many bad people. Anywhere you park along Highway 152 is at your own risk. Next time park where you can see your car. I will pray for you. Tight line!
@@newworldfishing2452 i have been fishing at San Luis Res quite alot, parking all along the HWY, one occasion I neglected to lock my pickup, and never had this happen to me. I have been driving my truck down to the lake and fish from it all night, but the pkace I egress was blocked off by a bolder and tree stump, however, i have located another access point to the lake with a 4x4, so Ill be back there soon for another all-nighter fishing from my Silverado. I enjoy your videos and hope to view more as they come out. Thanks for your efforts.

I use to bait and wait back in the days when my father was alive from 1982 to 2012. It’s fun at the main lake SL can b deep when it’s full of water crazy wind too sometimes. I still remember in 1984 the water was so low like only 30 % left you can drive a car from Dinosaurs point to Basalt or Goose Point area . I think there was pump or repair issues that had to be done at Cattle rack main dam . I’m 52 now I would only go to Forebay early March and late October every season with my Kayak to stripped fly core lure it’s really fun catching Stripers and I get my limit in 2-3 hours. You only get to keep 2 there not like it used to be 5 Stripers back in the 80s. I now fish at New Hogan Lake in Spring Valley California . Water is clear lots of Stripers there limit is 10! Any size to keep.! Some people like boaters and inshore anglers go there with no luck because they just don’t know how to hunt for stripers. You have to get used to the lake keep trying to catch em with fly cores lure, jerkbait , anchovies , live minnows , and. frozen Shad is primarily go to bait there. Take care y’all and good luck ! 😊
@@JPHET37 I’m so sorry for you to share that your dad passed away. I’m very appreciate it everythings you shared. I fished these 2 lakes O’Neill Forebay and San Luis Reservoir back in 2000. I fish a lot at fisherman point, willow point and goose point too. It was fun back in the days when the basalt side still open but now they’re closed because of the construction on the dam. I still remembered it used to be 5 stripers back in 90s because of the fish population are so low they limited each person only get 2 fish per day now. I haven’t try New Hogan Lake yet hopefully one of these days. Everytimes when I went fishing for striper I’d not always catches keeper size but under side one too at least no skunk. Nice video! Thanks. Looks like your reel needs a spacer to keep the line/braid even spooling from top to bottom. One should do it. BTW: you can learn another language. You are much more intelligent than people who only speak one language. Your mental capacity even with age is still sharp. If you are 50 your mental agility is = to a 25 yr one single language speaker. Keep up the good work!
Nice video! Awesome that you can speak Mien and Hmong. I noticed a lot of mien can speak/understand Hmong but not a lot of Hmong can speak or understand mien. Why is that?
@@itsjussjerry Thanks! I learned Hmong language when I was younger in middle school. Most of my friends were Hmong people. Everytimes when they were saying something to another friends, and I asked them what are you guys talking about?? They explained to me in English that they were talking in Hmong. Each days I have learned a little, and as you progress throughout the school years, you were pretty much learning a lot.
@@paulyang748 Yes, main lake come fish here still hot bites. Use grass shrimp if you can find any. This area is not cottonwood creek or cottonwood bay.
