I cannot believe that there is a dam that big there yet you are the only person I see, if this was in Illinois 99% of those fish would be harvested in the first month of the bite, good fish fun video to watch!
Oh trust me, that spot I was standing in gets HAMMERED in the spring lol. I was just there all day and was able to move around people. But Thank You for watching. I just published another video in which I land my biggest tarpon to date. Go check it out if you'd like, and hit me with a subscribe if you want to! Giveaway coming soon!
I wore out big hybrids last week there . The smallmouth are moving good in that place in between Ashland and where you live we need to get together and wade it here soon
As a lure that looks like a bait fish, I used a Berkley power bait 3" pogy shad natural color in a small paddle only Ohio lake. Nailed a 2 ft hybrid , forgot the net , snapped 8 lb braid by my kayak seat trying to getting out of the water
Went down to South Carolina at Watery river hydra damm . Everytime the turbine kick in and the water rose up a couple feet. Big stripers would smack the top of the water and stun the shads it was wild.
It is a pretty complex thing to describe lol. I watch temps more than current. I'll adjust where I fish based on current breaks, but the temp needs to be right.
Hello Sir, what St. Croix model spinning rod is that? I love that color, like a Tahitian Green/Seafoam Aqua Green color. St. Croix Triumph Inshore model? Nvm, based on the guides, looks like the Inshore Mojo model?
I appreciate a St Croix fan! It is an Avid Inshore model. One of my favorite rods! Beautiful rods and lots of performance for your dollar. I believe this one is a medium fast action.
I'm sorry to tell you this man everybody's not there to catch panfish some people are there to try to catch record fish or big fish if you think that Ron is going to hold a 10 or 6 lb hybrid your funny especially in Swiftwater so don't talk about people's gear I can show you multiple pictures of monsters I've got there and it would not have been caught on the ultralight believe that
I'll let my name, my gear, my experience, my reputation and my skill speak for itself. I've got nothing to prove here or anywhere. But, and I'd lay my life on this, if you were to peep into my fishing world, or life in general, I don't think you'd walk away feeling as adequate as you fancy yourself. And i wasnt aware a 10lb hybrid was a trophy. But they are fun on that rod for sure 🫡Men fishing on RU-vid aren't threatening, unless that's something that happens easily for you. Enjoy the fishing. Stay the drama. Tight lines.
I mean I've caught 10-12lb bowfin on ultralights in Florida rivers. There are definitely going to be scenarios anytime you fish with lighter gear where you get outclassed, but lighter gear is required for XYZ presentations at times. I'd even say there's a scenario at every level of gear you'll be outclassed in. If you have confidence in your abilities, you can greatly greatly reduce the number of outclassed scenarios that you lose.
