I always wanted to fish in a boat below the dam at Lake Cumberland, and I finally was able to thanks to my good friend Jon. Check it out, as we got on a pretty hot bite!
Don't think Chase will ever forget that trip. Looked like a pretty good boat hand, he was all over that net anything someone hooked up. Good work gents!
Wow!!! Looks like great fun and a thoroughly rewarding way to spend the weekend. You lucky guys have some great eating in the future with those catches.
To cool.ive had the opportunity to witness strpe bass from wolf creek caught 30 year s ago that weight of 38 pounds.no ?? There is a ks.record waiting for the young man to claim
Nice...down in South Carolina , at a hydra electric dam when it would kick on and the water would rise up a foot. The stripers would come, smack the shads on the surface. Stun them and gobble up the shads. My wife missed a big one with a shad jerk bait
Great video and thanks for posting it. What a blast. Is it still good fishing the damn with all the we’ve had recently. Thinking about coming down next weekend... thanks!
Near St. Paris , Ohio , there's Kiser Lake, a 394 acre paddle only lake. That place has serveral species. That place has huge "Wipers" , hybrids white striped Bass. I have to finish moddin my kayak and get out there. The fish are in the middle on the bottom
How on earth do you keep your boat up there in that current??? I don't have a boat but soon will and wonder how to keep it so still!!!?? Wow what a great video !!
We were on my buddy's boat that day. I believe he kept his outboard in gear, and also used the trolling motor when we were up against the dam. I appreciate you watching!!
Jonathan (the bearded guy) actually brought shiners from a nearby bait shop. I think there is one in Monticello? But, that being said, after fishing that day I know for a fact that hair jigs, swimbaits and spoons would work too.
Great catch there at Wolf Creek I witnessed the 38 pounder over 30 years ago get caught by the guy that ram rotted the nuclear plant before the lake was ever open he put a 38 pounder on his wall after that he caught some around 42 to 44 lb so I'm certain there is a state maybe world record waiting on that young man right there at Wolf Creek I know he's in there I used to guide Beaver lake caught a lot of 40 pounds and I believe Wolf Creek will be the next world record freshwater striped bass so keep that young man in that boat let him get it
Long distance I use surf gear. Personally I use a saltwater setup. But here I had a 2500 sized reel with 8lb mono and a good med fast rod. But if I could do it again on this setup I'd use 10 or 12 lb mono
