Haha when my brother hooked into a big smallmouth, I ran across a wet dock to get the net and fell down and almost into the water! It hurt quite a bit, but my brother and I laugh whenever I look at the GoPro footage!
3:07 "oh my goodness, I just went down..." Scoping out some creek-side fishing spots, and attempting the utmost of care, lost my footing in some slippery wet grass, did a luge-sled slide thru the grass---rocking my brand new White Jeans! Know what wet grass does to new White Jeans???? I regret to say I employed a little more colorful language than you Brendan!!
I fish every week. Love your channel man! You get me out more. Thanks. (Though baitcasters are the gods), well expect for finesse fishing ha. They suck at that.
Hi there... Absolutely love your vlogs.. Actually quite entertaining and educational. Thanks for the time you put into it. Shoung my fellow youtubers some love all the way from South Africa 🇿🇦 keep them comming.
I would just like to say thank you! After attempting to watch some fishing videos for a year or so, this channel is the knly one that is actually in touch with normal anglers and “ non-rich folk”. I do not have a 250k bass boat and probably never will- but this channel actually provides entertainment and tips that relate. Brendan Miller is one of the only youtube fisherman that seems to have remained true to the craft rather than the expensive toys gathered by youtube money. I whole heartedly appreciate it.
If you get snagged, pull the line tight and then snap your bail open as abruptly as possible without touching the line. This works especially well with monofilament because of its stretch, but the springiness of your rod can work as well. The rubberband effect will often free your hook from the snag by snapping it backwards, away from the snag.
Where I fish, theres a law that dogs are to remain on leash. Sadly no signs were posted last year so I had idiots let their dog off the leash. It’s the MOST FRUSTRATING sh*t EVER!
Why does a 70 year old girls bike and a broken boom box radio have to be stolen?? Literally, any number of circumstances could have led up to both of those sitting in there..
Fishing with buddies at a reservoir, one of them snagged a brand new lure I just bought days before. I stripped my outer layers and swam about 60 feet to unhook it.
You broke a collectable rod my man lol looks like Bill dance fished with that road at the 1979 classic 🤣 poor thing broke because of the rough current.
i have a nice blooper: so i was fishing with my dad we live in the netherlands and he got an new rod and forgot to securely assemble his rod so he trows like very hard and the top just went flying and landed into the mud and to make worse we were targeting pike and he almost speared one so no luck that day of fishing.
Man i had a boom box like that strapped to my handle bars as a kid when it was safe to let your children ride around town always had my tunes and my fushing gear
The first thing I noticed about this reel is its weight ru-vid.comUgkxM68VkfsQhHaabDce1IwOCXuvumcpbZ_k . I wouldn't say it was uncomfortable but it was a little heavier than other similarly sized reels. However, that didn't deter my enjoyment of how smooth this reel is. I spooled it with 20lb. Tuf-Line XP and it's perfect for what I use it for. I have it paired with an 8'6" Medium/Fast Okuma SST Salmon/Steelhead rod. The combination is perfect for casting and even drifting. I used the reel all day and didn't experience any arm or hand fatigue except when fighting a few fish! The bail is solid and feels strong when engaging by reeling and manually closing the bail by hand. The large rubber handle grip is very comfortable. It's got a powerful drag, silky smooth reeling, and feels very comfortable in the hands. I recommend it!
When i was younger i was trying to fish for catfish and with a shiner on the pole i threw out my line and rested my pole on the dock.. i was hungry so i left to get a snack and as soon as i left my pole went flying into the water. I scrambled to go get my bathing suit, threw it on and retrieved my pole. Funny thing is i set the hook and caught a bass😂
