John, great question, all of our decals hold a strong bond to fishing rods, so like the graphite, if the rod bends, the decal bends, the graphite doesn't stretch, and neither should the decal. As Steve already mentioned, the 1" wide x 36" kayak ruler decals obviously have larger numbers than the 0.25" wide x 36" rod ruler decals, that being said, the numbers on the rod decals seem to be plenty big for most any fisherman to read while measuring their own fish! The larger numbers work better for photographing your fish if that's a common practice you do for friends, you can see more examples in Steve's phenomenal videos and our website! I had some of these or something similar (maybe a different brand) in the past, but while trying to measure a red, it flopped and broke one of my guides. I haven't used them sense. Now placing one on the paddle like that wouldn't be too bad of an idea as most the time its already laying across my lap. One thing is for sure though, I am not a fan of going to their web page and then having to order their product off of Amazon.

Great idea. How many paddles or rods did you have to practice on before you did in front of the camera? I’m all thumbs but will give it a try for my rods
lol! Great question. Actually, I did not have any issues putting this on my first rod. The key is to not stretch the decal and not to fold down the edges until ready to do the heat treatment.
im curious about the small piece of duct tape on the bottom on the flat section of paddle...Is this a quick reference to let you know the correct orientation of the paddle in the water
Love it! I've seen them before. Problem is they're about 7 bucks each. That would be well over 50 bucks to do my rods that Teresa and I fish with. That's too much for stickers IMO.
