We join Welsh rivers international Terry Bromwell on the banks of his home river, the Taff at Pontypridd in search of trout and grayling. #fishinginwales #Flyfishing
I lived in Pontypridd fifty years ago and was even a member of the Osprey club! Members taught me how to cast in Ynysangharad Park, beside the river. The Taff was a grey mess with a slimy black bottom. The rapids and falls above the town centre below the concrete bridge was a good looking stretch. I live in New Zealand. On my last visit to Ponty nine years ago, I saw a clean gravel bottom and trout rising. Wonderful to see you don't need to travel far or pay heaps to catch good trout and grayling. Excellent film, well done Terry!
