Urban angling on the river Taff - Fly fishing and Trotting for grayling 

Great spot isn't it, been fishing it for 25 years which is why we went there. Always holds a few 👍

It's only allowed on Glamorgan AA club water in Cardiff because this part of the river has good stocks of coarse fish. Maggots are not permitted on Merthyr AA or the other clubs, because its trout fishing. further up the river.

There are no grayling in that part of the Taff. They are only in the river from Abercynon down to Cardiff.

No its catch and release - or we would have no fish left. And why would you want to eat fish in the Taff? Not exactly clean, the fish don't taste great!
