We visit the river Rhymney in south east Wales on the Royal Oak Angling Club water. This post-industrial river now produces fantastic grayling fishing, in addition to trout, salmon and sea trout. What's more, the river is very easy to access and inexpensive to fish.

What a pleasure to view! I now live in New Zealand but once lived in Ystrad Mynach and fished the Rhymney when it ran black with coal dust. I caught some surprisingly good trout that tasted awful and then returned thereafter. Great to see a post industrial river up with the best. Hwyl Fawr Cymro!

Some tidy fish there guys, esp that last one, £25 a year sounds an absolute steal to me.

You should consider coming down to Bala to do a video on the Tryweryn and only 10pounds for a junior ticket and very easy accessible water it's well worth your money and fishes very well with a good stamp of 2 pound grayling in there and a few studs up to 3.5 lb
