Cool catches! yeah it's known they are by the MPB Nice to see them making a comeback.I wouldn't worry about anyone that doesn't agree saying your going to destroy the population taking 1 or 2 fish a year..congrats and thanks for posting
@@howardbarnet4272 Him taking his catch is not going to destroy the population. But the people who are coming because of this video will. That’s the outcome of spot burning.
@@huanc7996 I’m not good at catching those little things. I’m still learning. There is a bunch of videos on how to catch them. Thank you for watching!.
Great video congrats on you PB Sheepshead awesome my brother what's size hook is on that swing jig are you fishing one or two ounces Great Day of fishing Salute👊👍💯
Some bait shops sell fiddlers, I used to buy them at cross bay bait and tackle for black fish in late September October. Call your local shops and ask before you go .
Bruh come on dude , REALLY? We been there for years not posting and you want to make a video for alittle clout ? Seriously ? This video is going to get you more angry fisherman than followers on RU-vid…have some respect for the dudes that really pound the pilings….i have 100s of sheeps caught on video there and I have never posted a video to to the respect of the spot and there not being many other spots…keep that at the marine park bridge my guy…its not a good look…you may not frequent the area as much as my crew and I and we damn sure don’t want 100 kayakers and boats there because of you trying to get some subscribers and clout….LORD OF THE SHEEPS 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Let them go , sad you keeping them. Ny has a small population of them trying to survive and we should release them. That spot is no secret ,they have been there for years. Practice catch and release.
It flatters me that experts on marine biology and conservation are watching my videos. I truly appreciate your input and comment. In my ignorance, I was under the impression that sheepshead move up here from southern waters during the warmer months because of the better water quality and the increase of shellfish life cause by it. I really would like to know what’s our stock because I can’t find it anywhere. I target them 2 to 3 times a year, catching an average of 3 to 4 fish. I’m no expert, but I’m certain I’m not putting a dent in their population. How many have you caught this year?. I wonder how many people target them every year?, I wonder how many are kept without any regulations? So many questions. All I know is that every time I post a video on sheepshead, I’m accused of spot burning and to hush about certain spots
Dude you said it yourself you can’t find them anywhere else then why are you still posting it? You are encouraging more people to go to that spot and wiped out that little population. Everyone I know fish there kept it for themselves out of respect for each other, but you sir just destroyed our effort for what good to you? Few likes and comments?
@@alexyipfishing372Ok so I was right, your comment had nothing to do with conservation. You are just trying to shame me for posting a video that shows absolutely no indications of where this place is at. You are trying to shame me and just accused me and just me about a spot that you yourself quoted as “not a secret”. I have respect of my fellow fishermen and I’m not giving directions or encouraging people to go here. You can also argue with Thefisherman magazine and other websites and editorials that mention that sheepshead frequent New York waters along with other exotic species. Actually that’s how I learn that I could catch sheepshead in NYC, then I just looked up how to catch sheepshead and an infinite list of videos were available to me. Even after that it took me awhile to be able to catch this fish. I edited my video to avoid landmarks and such for respect to my fellow fisherman. Do you know how many pilings look like this in Staten Island and Jersey, did you notice how many people in the comments are asking where this is at, did I tell them?. Next time, don’t try to shame me with the hypocrisy of conservation and just tell me straight if you think I’m spot burning. People are fishing, harvesting and taking this fish home in greater quantities than me. Would you try to shame other content creators for making a video of catching giant porgies at the bridge? Or maybe the spring run striped bass that happens at a certain spot? Or the guys creating content from the crossbay bridge? Come on man. I won’t be bully over a fish that can be caught in other spots and I wouldn’t worry if I were you because more would come next year. Thank you for watching!.
@@NYCE_Fishing This is one of if not the only sheeps spot available to most yaker. That’s why it’s crucial to be protective of this spot at least on social media. I don’t give a damn about porgies and spring striper as you mentioned because they are everywhere and available to anyone. On the other hand I do see some efforts of you trying and not show the land mark and I appreciate that. But it’s simply not enough! Don’t tell me how many pilling look just like that in staten Island and New Jersey where you never post videos of you fishing there. Most of your videos took place in the same area it doesn’t take a genius to figure out where this spot is base on your fishing habits. You can argue how this spot is no secret and how many others been harvesting way more then you but you are the only one posting a full tutorial video of fishing for them. This video is destructive to the species, to the spot and to the regular fishermen who treasure and value that spot! Please be considerate. I love watching all of your other videos but this one is just not cool.
Hi, I’m a beginner. Could you help me with the kind of jig used and how did you get the circle on hook attached like that. Or is it possible I could purchase it pre-assembled ? Thank you.
