Fishing for keeper Snook in the St Lucie River. Snook fishing has been heating up and my goal was to catch a slot fish. The previous trip I lander a perfect 31" Snook, so I knew I had a good shot at another. Using light tackle with a star stellar light rod, Daiwa BG4000, and Yozuri 30 lb flourocarbon leader I pitch live Pilchards at walls and bridge pilings. After catching several small Snook and Jacks I changed tactics to a knocker rig and put a large Threadfin Herring under a bridge piling. I landed a nice 30" slot to achieve my goal for the day.

Beauty!! SO the first one you got was a Snook?? Man they're pretty! Nice yellow sharp looking fins. That 2nd snook yah got, love how yah darted it back in the water haha. I think you told me that before?? Thats how yah always do it and they take off??? Awesome

Same very low tide again and slow current. Couldn’t get on any walls again.

Tide has been so low I haven’t been able to fish my really good spots but that whole area has produced pretty well. I will be out there on Saturday.
