I am almost old enough to just watch this kind of thing and not do it myself……but NOT this year! GREAT VIDEO. IT REMINDS ME TO NOT BUSHWACK at my age and to alway carry safety gear just in case I have to spend an unexpected night in the high country without getting hypothermia.
Excellent video! Great footage. Two things. Pretty sure you're the first fly guy to quote Mary Tyler Moore. Dig it. I'm with ya. I got it. Two. I'm really good at naming flies. Please lemme take a stab at it when time comes! Now I gotta go watch your newest episode. Thank you for the content. Love it!
I'm glad you got that obscure 1970's reference. Also, I really appreciate your viewership and would love to hear your ideas on the prototype. I always look forward to reading your comments. -Tim
That's pretty high up to still have snow and frozen! Late July 2023, I have this map of the Indian Peaks that shows all the lakes like a ski resort map artist rendition. I may do a whole video on It Trail Tracks Ind. Peaks map. Also the biggest brook was caught in a high alpine lake near Gunnison
Well done young man. Enjoy wilderness trout fishing. The memories will last a lifetime. I wish I still had the legs and lungs to join you. Tight Lines, Gary R, USAF-Retired
I think you caught a laker. I've caught splake before and the pattern was different. But now I need to check these out for myself. I do the same research. The lowest lake is impossible to circumnavigate with all the shrubs. I waded to get around the lake
@@CombatFlyFishing I just have an old pair of hiking boots i will wade in if needed. I hear there is another species at the lowest lake. I have yet to see that for myself
Any chance you'll be up there 8/2- 8/4? Coming from CT to visit family. We're camping at Brainard lake and would love to fish at lest one of the lakes. Rather go with someone who knows the area. Jeff
You’re way too young to know about that 90s pop culture icon. Besides, it’s time for the pubic to match a face to the heavy breathing they hear during the video.
