Took a trip to the north jetty to fish it for the first time from the solo skiff. The bite was tough but was still a beautiful day and had friends meet up to enjoy a little beach time!
Chicken Tendies I’ve thrown spoons for years in west bay . Had an old man show me his tackle box one day . An aluminum cigarette case of spoons ......he caught a limit that day up in Greens Lake. Never forgot it .
I need to wade these flats where you are at but I've never been there. I love throwing silver and gold spoons but Id love to own a solo skiff. How much was it to register it? Insurance?
took my wife out on my solo today. we didnt catch any fish but was nice to get some alone time with the wife away from our 4 kids. the first time i saw a solo skiff was in your video with the solo in the pool and was set on getting one. got one on may 2nd and love it. some how some way i want to go fishing with you. im always going to lufkin texas since my wife it from there.
That would be awesome to meet up with some fellow solo fisherman. I’m glad you are enjoying the skiff. I will have to get a solo skiff meet up date planned.
What’s up brotha! Outstanding fishing trips. I been looking at Solo Skiff and Bote Rovers. I think I am fully convinced the Solo Skiff is a much better boat. As for now, I been sketching an idea how to rig up a Solo Skiff or any other type of Kayak to load up to the back of the truck. Anyway, love your videos and hope to run across you and your bro’s. I will be looking to purchase one sometime this or next month. Can’t wait. Keep up the videos brotha and keep the lines wet. Felix out!
Felix Macias thanks so much for watching and awesome to hear another guy joining the solo crew! The solo skiff is more functional with storage + cooler. Also wayy cheaper than a bote. There’s no competition in my mind.
Some video bud, I’m looking at getting a micro power pole for my Gheenoe and I fish the same type of water as you. What would you recommend for spike length, is 8 foot too much? Half the time I’m just trying to anchor in a couple feet of water. Keep up the awesome videos!
You didn't fish the sunken boat stickingout of the water on that side of the jetties by the beach? The trout usually are swimming circles around that thing so if it's slow just give it a bit
gsppuffer I actually was planning on it but the winds picked up pretty dang strong and I also knew I had buddies on the shore so I just didn’t make it over there. I will be back though and will bring gear to fish further down towards the end to try and catch some bull reds
My solo can’t come fast enough!!!!! Ughhh. It will be here 6/30. Why does it take so long to get them? Did you have to wait a while too? My motor was here in a week. When I get it we need to hook up and fish as I get use to her. Setup a patron. I’d follow.
@@KagenFishing yeah with 4x4 but my 2x4 Silverado had the same and the wide front tires would always get me stuck because they acted like big bulldozer blades.Just got a new f150 4x4 and haven't had to put it to the test because the sands been so packed
Love the solo skiff! One day I might get one. No sharks inland, just snakes sometimes. Our daughter is a BSNRN, congrats to you both and thanks for serving others.
Ernesto Rodriguez take the ferry to bolivar peninsula then take beach access road and drive back west till you can’t anymore. There’s also a launch right at the north jetty on the channel side
