Fishing In California - Bishop CA, Lone Pine and Independence. Our first day on our fishing trip was a blast. We ate at Totem Cafe in Lone Pine for Breakfast. Then headed to Mount Whitney Fish Hatchery in Independence CA to stretch our legs and feed some fish. Then traveled to Bishop CA and fished at North Fork Road till our room at TraveLodge was ready. We had a great time and the weather was nice. Alex caught 1 and I Suzy caught 3 trout and 1 crawdad but released them all to live another day.
If you're wondering things to do in Bishop California we would recommend fishing the Owens River, it's long and has great stream fishing. You will find mostly rainbow trout and the coveted brown and golden trout as well.
