I think that all the kayak fishing companies have sparked innovation in each other, when that happens, WE (the anglers) all win!!!! These boats were all on the drawing board well before the Coosa was born. We just chose to make the Commander series before overhauling the Ride and adding to the offerings.

Hey Chad !!! I just bought 2 Ride 115,s from Cedar Creek Outdoors they were the 2016 models the red and lime color $773.00 great deal !!! I'm now waiting on my Triton Lt kayak trailer that carries 2 kayaks to be delivered to me. I can't wait to transport them to a lake to fish and paddle around. Thanks, I will let you know when we take our first kayak trip to the lake. Outside World Outfitters delivered my kayak trailer to me today I'm so excited can't wait for warm weather to arrive in Georgia !!!

Almost looks as stable as my Coosa Elite. I'm just glad to see that Jackson Kayaks have sparked so much innovation in the kayak industry.

There was no real missed opportunity. The boat was designed to be able to evolve. The Wilderness Systems line has a long standing reputation for quality, innovation and design improvements. Pontoon hulls, the first high-low seat, the first sliding track system, the first adjustable seating system and others. Look, I am not bashing any other brand and there are lots of great features out there. The Wilderness Systems line offers a full cadre of choices and not every will make it on every boat.

The Wilderness Way in Tallahassee had a demo day yesterday and I tried the Ride 11.5 and Tarpon 14. This was my first experience in a kayak and I really appreciated the stability of the Ride 11.5. I am lobbying She Who Must Be Obeyed to make this my Christmas gift.

My favorite accessories are the ones from YakAttack and RAM. I would say my favorite is the one that makes most of the connections possible is the Screw Ball.

ThatBigGuy50, Who says that there isn't a seat option coming that will allow you to do that with the Ride 115? Stay tuned! And, at $850, the Ride 115 comes with a better seat for the base model. As long as the new seat comes in at or under $150, it will still be one of the best options on the market in that size and class! :) - Chad

I have this kayak and my dad has a Coosa I prefer the ride just because of its it stability and the fact everything is vented to there is never any standing water

coosa has my vote over the ride just because of the first class seat they have. but im having a hard time on deciding between the slayer or the coosa..or even the ultimate.

So WS had the Ride redesigned for over 2 years, focused on releasing the Commander (which has a high and low seating position) instead, witnessed the immense popularity of the Coosa (mainly because of the high and low seat), and decided not to tweak the new Ride by releasing it with a high and low seat? If the Ride had a high and low seat, it would have outsold the Tarpon. Huge missed opportunity.

This sucker is HEAVY for a shorter boat and the Ride 135 is a complete load. They may be stable but all that weight takes a toll in terms of speed, maneuverability and loading.

Do you think you can stand in a perception pescador 120? I know its pretty much the Tarpon 120 2008 model. Trading in my old yak for a decent SOT cant wait!!!!

@KayakBassinTV The only meaningful innovation there is in the industry besides improvements dry-gear has been the Hobie pedal mirage drive.

They all technically stopped being true kayaks a long time ago. But, the definition of things and usage evolves over time. The word kayak has been redefined to include these new craft. Mainly because it is easier to say than One Man Specialty Fishing Craft. :) - Chad
