Went with the Pelican Catch Mode 110 on sale for $699. Super stable and added a fin motor for $299. Perfect inshore set-up.

Some great choices! Thanks for including me in the video. It's true, you CAN catch fish on a budget kayak (and in fact, mine is actually the 10 foot version so you DEFINITELY can). Cool that Lucas made the cut as well. #yakgang

You just helped me discover a kayak I’m very interested in. They make the Moken with pedal drive for 1500. Which is one of the cheapest most compact pedal drive kayaks out there. That I’ve seen at least. I’m probly going to get this at some point now. Thankyou for showing up in my feed

Dude, this is phenomenal information Thank you, this and the big boy kayaks video were super useful. Im looking to buy my wife a kayak as well and where as I am 6'2 250lbs... shes 4'10 100 lbs. So thats another product i need to look into

A buddy has a johhny bass boat with a 6hp.. shell do 14-15 mph 😂 But he does hate when he has to paddle it lol

I just picked up a Lifetime Teton (aka Yukon) Pro 116 for $550 last night. Seems like it has more features than that Tamerak. It had been listed for $650 for quite a while though and I only just noticed it went down in price right before I had finally decided to buy.

Thanks for that! I’ll watch the one on kayaks for big dudes. I’m 6’, 220 lbs and an older guy so I really want a yak that’s stable and that I can stand up in every now and then to stretch my legs.

Not technically a fishing kayak but it's got a peddle drive which is more important to me. The Pelican Getaway only $999. Teo side rail gear tracks that I've attached 2 rod holders and a ff/gps. Room behind the seat for my extra large crate with 6 more rod holders.

I’ve only seen them in person once but from what I know, they don’t come with any fishing features. However if that’s not a deal break for you, I’d go for it.

I’d have to look into it. Definitely look at width, length and weight capacity. All of those have a direct effect on how stable it will be for you.

The Lifetime Angler pro has the better seat and is three inches longer,rod holder and some other upgrades. about 20 bucks more than the Angler, love mine.

When they say a load capacity is 350lbs, do you have to subtract the weight of the Hull?

Some manufacturers calculate that way, others don’t. Unfortunately there is no industry standard.
