loved it - thanks guys. ive never fished for tuna, so i cant comment on broken rods or any "mess ups" or anything. it was all just really exciting to see. hope to do it someday.

St. Croix Rift - it looks like those rods were the 6'6" rods and the St. Croisx website has these length rods as medium/medium heavy and a 50lb max fish weight. So maybe the rods were too light.
This is a very well-produced series! Would you like it to play on Cape Media Center's public-access channel? We broadcast to all of Barnstable, Yarmouth, Dennis, Harwich, and Chatham.
Entertaining video as usual. I dont think the quality of the rods was the issue. Take a trout rod and try to catch a 30 pound striped bass. Odds are you will bust the rod.
