Absolutely love my Engel bait cooler. The basket that comes with them gives the shrimp something to hang on to instead of swimming non-stop and allows them to live much longer than just a slick live well. Excellent product!! Good work!
Watching on my laptop today instead of ipad - you have ads playing now ? Ok, big time ! Ha ha. Love the vids, bro. Hope to hit some surf fishing in OBA next weekend.
Simply put- your videos are probably the most fun to watch fishing videos on RU-vid. Keep up the releasing of good videos and you will continue to be successful in growing your channel. Cheers from Michigan !
Almost drove down to the pier this morning.... Watching your videos is awesome. I love that you explain what your using as well as what regulations on keeping fish are here in Alabama. Only reason I didn't come down this morning is because it's a 3 hour drive for me and I had no one to go fish with. I know, sad face right? 😆 But I do wanna try that pier and beach fishing. You make it look like so much fun!
Same with flounder here in Tx from this year. MIGHT be my fave inshore fish to eat. Stuffed with shrimp n crab! But Sheepers are up there too. But Pomps,Whiting,Croakers,Specs,Reds,Smacks,Kings! Theyre all good haha
As someone who traveled to the Gulf of Mexico just camping and fishing along the way after I retired I felt that all those years of hard work payed off. Can’t wait to return again when I get that urge !!! Keep a tight line. Thanks again and writing from New England.
Nice now, got to set crab traps catch some blue crabs clean them and stuff the flounder with nothing but crab and butter salt. If you buy crab meat from blalocks its always too salty and is always a few weeks old.
mono has been out a lot! longer than braid. braided line is made out of spectra fiber its was made in the 60's for heavy lifting belts for aero space. it is water proof uv protected and has 2.4% stretch. mono has been on the market since the 50's
How is the fishing late September from the Pier / The Pass / and the Beach? I am also looking for a Good Head Boat, what would you recommend? Thank you.
Great video, I’ve been there many times but never fished from the pier. When you fish at the pier, what do you look for to determine where you fish from or do you just try all around? Thanks
It’s been a long, hectic year since the storm ate the end of the pier. Time is past to lengthen this stubby pier to its former glory. What is taking so long?
You and the Bum need to get together and fish. I think Brant and Ron has some kind of man love thing going on and I think it's really bumming the Bum out.
@@jacobchandler3443 folks have been doing this for decades. Collaborating on a mutual interest. You think Bill Dance and Roland Martin were told not to collaborate between them? I reckon not. They both promote so much together
New subscriber. From Austin,Texas. Enjoying your videos. Love the content and presentation, but LOVE the Christian "drops" (hope I read that right) and Patriotism. Thank you!
And I usually don't keep any game or target species that measure right in the legal limit on flounder if they not 15 inches I don't keep Emm just my personal preference is all same with specks I like to keep them around 16 inches and 16 inch spec is not hard to catch off piers with a jig head and some soft plastic eels. I feel like winter time like October to Feb sharks are not as aggressive at the pier as during summer
One time back in the 80's my parents and little brother and me were watching a guy pull in something big out on the end of this pier and it ended up being a smaller sand shark, and my brother tried to reach out and put his hand in it's mouth and my dad's "dad reflexes" kicked in and he grabbed him and snatched him back with a quickness.
I topshot all of my reels with mono or flouro I like braid but it has no abrasion resistance and big fish in cover break off a lot more on braid mono can slide across that piling braid can not
Can’t go wrong with a Topshot. I usually have about 100 yds of 20lb Diamond or Momoi, especially fishing the clearer waters of the Panhandle. It definitely saves you when the king or ling shoots the pier . 👍🏼
I really appreciate the content and style of your vids and hope your channel grows rapidly....but stays on point like it is now. Some of the other channels I watch have increasingly become clown shows and pretty much focused on whatever will generate the most revenue at this point. I understand that, but IMO it ruins the content.
Hi Bama Salt, been watching you for a while now. Didn't want to say anything before now lest someone think I am a hater. Pls get your hook sizes straight: size 6 is a tiny size , 6/0 is big. Normal pomp hooks are size 1/0 to 2/0. I use size 4 for sheephead, croaker, pinfish. I would send you a hook size chart if could figure out how to attach. Think of hook sizes like a number line, negative sizes are small, positive are 1/0 and up and get bigger. Don't worry. I will still be watching because you are good and i love watching your show. Cheers.
I'm pretty well aware of my hook sizes. thanks. I mean what I say in the videos. I'm using a size 4 treble for kings, NOT a 4/0. Same thing with my circle hooks. I like a size 1/0 for Pomps, Size 4 or 6 for whiting and bottom fishing. I've been doing this a while long before YT. IMHO, a size 4 for sheepshead is still pretty big, I'm a lighter tackle kind of guy. I like a size 10 or size 12 for sheepshead personally. I know how the hook sizes work, but I appreciate the effort in trying to explain things. Thanks for watching.
I swear on my life on everybody, my family’s life that I caught a 15 pound flopper There, and I thought it was a rock and it was scared of death since my dad friend let me borrow his rod and he said if I broke it then he’d kill me, but I didn’t know if he was lying or not because I was only seven years old so yeah
