Fishing is allowed on the Fort Morgan Pier. They have signs saying you cannot fish on the "inside" portion due to the boat ramp. There is no fee required to fish on this pier. It's a beautiful area. Thank you for watching!

I love Mcmillan pier! I caught my first saltwater fish there. A guy that helped me to get more invested in saltwater fishing actually caught an 80 or so pound bull shark off the pier.

I would suggest putting a plastic bead between the swivel and lead but half the time I don't use them or forget them haha. Love the content!

Sorry you can’t fish with your mom any longer while on this earth, but if you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior as you say your mom did, you’ll see her again and forever be with the Lord. Can you legally fish from the Fort Morgan Pier? In your video it appears that there are blue "No Fishing" signs posted on the pier. I'm heading to Fort Morgan today from KC and don't want to get into trouble.

Yes, you just cannot fish on the "inside" part where the boat launch is. It's to prevent getting tangled with boats launching and loading

Thank you so much for sharing your adventures with the public. The old fart that I am can't help but think back to the days I stood in the cold weather on the beaches of South and North Holland, two provinces in The Netherlands. Most of the time I only took eel and/or flounder with me if I was lucky, the rest I just threw back. To feel that "bite" and hook the fish is just such a reward for standing in the cold dark night. I do miss it because, here in the Mojave Desert, not much flounder to catch eh? The closest would be California which is about 6 hours away. (Hmmm, only 6 hours, gasoline, hotel/motel costs, food, fishing license, what are we waiting for? LoL)

It always fun anticipating the bite. And no , the Mojave has nothing but mountains, small bushes, and vast sandy valleys haha. I always wished I was back home when we trained in the Mojave. Beautiful landscape but very brutal for sure.

I went to the Ft. Morgan pier a couple weeks ago and didn't get anything. I tried. Shrimp and squid. I also tried to jig for flounder but ultimately caught nothing.

Just saw a fellow fishing for sheepshead with crickets and catching! The fisherman did a good job comparing fiddlers and crickets on the hook. Unless the big claw is left on, it is hard to see much difference. Not sure where he was fishing, but it look much like our bay / in shore waters, bridge piling, etc… Talk about a breakthrough…! I have had good results on sand fleas, barnacles, and dead shrimp. It would be great to add crickets to the list of baits. Fiddlers are ~ $4.50 a dozen and small. $5 will get you ~ 50 crickets. Hope you try it and have good results. Best

Steve I appreciate all your videos. But why do you not field dress and show viewers the most humane way to dispatch the shark. I know you always say it’s because RU-vid is sensitive to what is shown. However there are tons of big name channels on RU-vid that are consistently showing viewers of dispatching and field dressing their harvest. Why won’t you?

I'm not sure what those darker shrimp are called but I know they aren't coming from bay or gulf. Call me superstitious but those darker tiger looking shrimp have never produced many trout for me lol 😆

Flounder sound like catching a channel cat they feel the same way at first you feel a ticking feeling so you set the hook and it feels like your snagged and than they just take off we used cut bait especially dead bass minnows

Fished Ft Morgan pier a few weeks ago, and a guy was catching flounder in the rocks. As you head up the pier, it was right against the shore on the left. He would drop shrimp in those rocks. Didn't really get much that day, but did see you out on your boat when we were running with a guide. The day before, I lost a rod off the state park pier. Sat it down to grab something and someone walked in front of me right when i got a bite and I couldn't get to it. Talk about disgusted. Couldn't have timed it any worse.

Hey man, I live in Biloxi Mississippi and I just realized something that kinda blew my mind. Our Toadfish are actually called Gulf Toadfish. The actual Oyster Toadfish is apparently only on the East Coast. And have a venomous spine. Apparently ours don’t? Have you ever heard that before? Love your video as always, man.
